I had my reservations because of the size but this speaker did not disappoint. Great sound out of a small compact speaker. I guess I should never second guess a Bose product. Well worth the money. I connect it to my laptop for music and Skyping and to my phone to listen to Spodify and my ITouch when I want to listen to music outside by the fire pit. Great investment!

I received the Sony version of this for Christmas. It was a deal at Costco around Christmas at about half the cost of the Soundlink Mini. I had listened to the Bose at Best Buy and liked the sound. So, I ended up buying the Bose too and listened to them side by side. The Sony has a pretty good sound but too much treble. The Bose was way better to my ears and I ended up returning the Sony. I like the Soundlink Mini's dock too, you can just pick it up and carrry it with you without unplugging anything and the battery takes over. I gave it a four because it is a little pricey and don't want to overpromise on sound. Size defintely matters when talking about speakers.

This bluetooth battery powered speaker is an excellent choice for portability. It has good sound and the battery has never run out on me. I use it mainly at the tennis courts for 2 to 3 hours then go hoke and recharge it. What a great buy.
