Sound is not good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to rerun this it sounds terrible. If Best Buy doesn't want to take it back that's fine I'll give it as a gift. It's bass is very distorted it sounds like a toy. Then randomly it sounds great. I don't get it.

Amazing Update
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the previous Soundlink II. I upgraded because the battery life is so much better on this device. This is another great Bluetooth speaker from Bose. Sure the cost is $300, but would recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a higher quality product. Bose knows how to make a speaker that covers a broad range of music. The speaker does play louder than its predecessor, and with great clarity and no distortion. I would recommend this speaker to anyone. Very happy with my Bose purchases.

Good Speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good speaker not great. The lows don't have that powerful feel and for the price I expected a better sound.

Not much bass, buy the Harmon Kardon Onyx instead
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tested this speaker 3 times after buying first the Sony XRS 7 series ($299 on sale for $195), and then buying the Harmon Kardon Onyx ($399 on sale for $199). The Sony was good, nice sound, but not loud enough for me, especially on battery power. The Bose is louder but doesn't have much bass, which makes sense since its a relatively thin speaker, so it can only produce so much bass. The HK Onyx is shaped like a chubby Frisbee, and has excellent bass for portable wireless speaker, even on battery. What is interesting is that BB did not have the HK out on the floor at my store or at the BB Mobile store in the mall. I'm guessing its because they don't want folks comparing the HK to the far more expensive Bose. If you are going to use around the house and outside at home, the HK kills the Bose sound. If you are going to pack it up, then the shape and the set metal stand is going to be a challenge, though not impossible.

Pretty Good Sound If You Want Portability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll preface that this is a great speaker if you want to take advantage of it's portability. However, if you're like me & will mostly be keeping it stationary inside the house; I'd highly recommend taking a look at the Sonos Play: 5 for only a $100 more because the difference is night & day! I first purchased the Bose SLIII simply to provide a stand alone speaker for my finished basement & must admit I'm spoiled with my home entertainment system upstairs. With that said, the Bose SLIII felt lacking to me downstairs which is precisely why I exchanged it for the Sonos 5 & couldn't be happier. However, if you need portability that holds a 14 hour charge; the Bose SLIII is the way to go.

So disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the Soundlink III after reading positive reviews and after hearing my friend's Soundlink Mini. But, when it arrived, I was so disappointed with the lack of clarity I immediately returned it. I have a Bose home theater system, so I expected better. I replaced the Soundlink III with a Sony and have been very pleased.

Best sounding speaker you can buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've heard them all, and the Bose is the best sounding. I can care less about loud if it sounds horrible. The Bose is plenty loud enough with incredible sound. I have no regrets at all buying this one. Buy it, you will have no regrets ❤️

Great portable wireless speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a lower end Bose speaker first and it was fine, but I wanted to upgrade to the "best" that Bose had to offer in this type of speaker. I am not disappointed. The volume is great for my purposes. The only complaint I have is that it is quite heavy. I bought the pink cover and the charger as well so I would have everything available. It's a bit pricy, but worth it if you like music and are picky about how it sounds.

Bose Nailed It With This Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose, you guys nailed it! I have been enjoying a B&W Zeppelin for a few years but got tired of carrying it around to the pool and beach. I researched BT speakers for about the last 6 months and ran up on the Soundlink III. After reading a gazillion positive reviews on this website and Amazon, I decided to give it a go. From the minute I paired my iPhone to it, which was super easy, I knew this product was a home run. I dare say that the sound that comes out of this is nearly or as good as my Zeppelin. You can crank it without straining the speakers too. Being portable with good battery life makes it a winner.

Outstanding Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one at home and one I travel with. This is an outstanding and durable product that produces excellent sound quality. I actually have an earlier version. Its battery life when not plugged in is also very good. The old downside is it is a little heavy to lug around in my travel case. But most would not lug it around. But the quality of the sound is that good! I link it to my smart phone, smart TV and tablet. I would highly recommend this product.

Light and Long Lasting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bough this unit to replace an older Bose sound dock. I like the fact that it is not Bluetooth and that there is a battery that you can charge while you are using it. The sound is up to the Bose standard and is plenty loud.

Nice upgrade from the mini
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the soundlink mini for over a year now. I have taken it on countless trips in boats, camping and parties. After a recent trip with limited power I decided it was worth the upgrade to go from 6 hours of battery life to 14. First impression was that the sound was a bit flat and started to wonder about my decision. After some time, I realized that I had adjusted the EQ on my iPhone to make the sound more full from my mini. After turning that OFF the sound is amazing! the vocal clarity, lows and highs are great on this speaker. I am very satisfied with this purchase and because its a Bose, it will last me for several years. From someone who spends way too much on electronics every year: this is still the hands down choice for sound quality, design quality and is worth every penny. I have yet to see the pill or any other speaker last as long as these Bose products and sound near as good. Save the money and buy once and be happy.
