Really what more can you say? This is a piece of Bose equipment and it's awesome. Very smooth sound with decent base punch, and can get surprisingly loud. Battery life is exceptional. Following guidelines in the manual for placement DOES make a difference, but play around with it to suit your taste. Highly recommended.

We go camping all the time and love the portability of this speaker and the quality of the sound is amazing!

The sound quality on this is amazing!!! and loud if you need to turn the volume high.. The Bass sounds great when in low and medium volume. You get a better and amazing bass response when you put it against a wall, corner of a wall, or on a shelf. The reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because when you turn the volume up past medium volume you start losing the bass. I feel like for a $269 price tag the bass should be just a little bit better.

I ahve always wanted one and finally bit the bullet. Price is high, but sounds fantastic.

If you listen to acoustic only music (& at a low volume ) this is definitely your perfect speaker. This is an embarrassing attempt at a Bluetooth speaker from Bose. I truly expected a lot more from Bose. I guess this company is riding off their past reputation of putting out a quality product. Well they were right, I fell for it. I really wanted to like this bt speaker but the sound quality and volume just wasn't there. I had a few friends listen to it and they had the same thoughts as I did about it. I had this speaker for less than 24hrs before returning it. Ended up trying the UE Megaboom and so far love it. The UE Megaboom has an app that you can control the speaker. It has an equalizer, alarm, and on & off capabilities all from the app. The Bose didnt have anything close to the features the Megaboom has. The Megaboom sounds good no matter where you place the speaker. With the Bose, unless you but it in the corner, the speaker just didn't have enough base or volume (& even then it was laughable). The Megaboom didn't have to be placed in a certain spot to sound good. It truly has a 360 sound. I was really impressed with the sound quality. I listen to all types of music and they all sounded good. Bottom line is if you've been searching for a bt speaker and thought about giving BSLIII a try, save yourself the time and pick something else. It's definitely not worth the 299 price tag.

First of all, you have to realize that this is not intended to replace your home audio system. It's a compact, portable Bluetooth speaker that allows you to listen to your music almost anywhere. It has good Bluetooth range and strong, full spectrum sound. However, I did notice that the sound is a little heavy on bass unless you're sitting directly in front of the speaker ... this can be easily fixed through most music app equalizers by maximizing the treble setting.

This is a great product...no doubt about that. Simple to setup, use, great battery life, and...almost forgot...Great Sound...!! But if I could nudge Bose for what to add for a "SoundLink IV" product, I would add WiFi (make the Bluetooth button a Bluetooth/WiFi button). I know I know, WiFi will make the battery drain faster. For the increased range of WiFi I will take the battery hit. I mean come on, even 6 hours on WiFi per day/charge would be awesome. Last note, I am in the electronics business...there are combo chips for Bluetooth & WiFi coming soon, so it really shouldn't add much if any cost to the product to add WiFi. But that's just wishful thinking on my part. As for this product...if you don't have one...you don't know what you're missing...

Great bass, amazing sound from such a small speaker

Exceedingly good sound. Great distance for Bluetooth connection. I use it indoors and also outside on the deck and very pleased with these volume. Did a lot of research and love this speaker.

What more can you expect from a Bose product. Sound quality is amazing and it is compatible with any Bluetooth phone, tablet, computer. Battery life is ok and has a great design to it. At the time of purchasing I went ahead and bought a sleeve to put it on and I have to say it was overall a great buy.

I use the Bose Soundlink III almost everywhere I go, especially good for traveling. Sound is crisp regarding the highs (high frequencies) and mids, but can struggle a bit with the lows (bass). Best used for classical, instrumental, rock, or soul music. 15 hours of greatness is what you get, I can vouch for Bose that you will not be disappointed. Hope my review helps, cheers. :)

i am so happy i finally broke down and bought this after looking at it for quite a few months. I has such great sound quality, which i great for me because i listen to such a wide range of music. I've had it since the end of the year 2014 and still fells like i just bought it a day ago.

Sound is awesome. I use this for backyard BBQ's and activities. The portable size projects great sound in true Bose fashion. I stream iTunes and Pandora. A tad shy on treble output but this is a portable Bluetooth speaker. I love it!

Fills the room with rich sound. Try out some classic blues or Dave Brubeck on Pandora to really appreciate it. Travels well, but I rarely use it while not plugged in.

I bought this bluetooth speaker after considering several of the speakers. This speaker the is amazing, the sound is really good even when its turned up all the way. I use the speaker when I am traveling to watch movies or listen to music around the house. Both works great. the battery life is amazing also, rarely need to charge.

to the smallest of blue tooth speakers but it defiantly is the best in class for its size, exceptional sound and easy to use.
