I am so happy that i bought this speaker. Awesome sound and portable to carry for partys.

Purchased this today and it has good quality. I have no other Bluetooth speakers to compare sound with, but it sure will be noticeable to anyone around. My wife enjoys it.

I bought this speaker about 2 weeks ago to replace my soundlink color, In my mind I was getting an upgrade, unfortunately i was wrong. :-( For more than double the price of the soundlink color, it does not put out enough to be that much pricier than the above mentioned. I am a POWER USER! I use my speaker 6-7 days a week, 12 hours a day while at work. While the sound quality is still Bose caliber, I would rather have my SL color back. They mention a 12 hour battery life; so after being somewhat disappointed with the loudness, I was hoping the "12 hour battery life" would make up for it. WRONG again, I was barely able to squeeze out 6hrs out of it. Given, I do use the speaker at full volume because of the loud environment that I work in, the SL Color held up about the same, for HALF the price. The only thing I like better about this speaker is its classier look, but realistically speaking, I don't buy Bose products because of their looks. If it weren't due to the fact that I threw away the box as soon as I opened this bad boy, it would be sitting back on the shelf at the store.

I first started with the Bose II and had it for less than a year and decided to change it in for a better one because the older Bose stopped taking a charge. I was just set on replacing it because I loved the quality and size. Then I tried the III. And I was in heaven.

Like this so much, I'm buying the Soundtouch 20 and 10s for whole house Blutooth. Using the Soundlink Portable for vacation travel and patio music/on-TV sports using a $30 Blutooth transmitter in the 3.5mm headphones TV jack. Love this thing.

Love this product, the quality is amazing, worth every penny.

This speaker makes listening enjoyable. The Bluetooth technology is very good. In addition, even though I had regular delivery, it came very fast. I could not have gotten it faster with other delivery options.

Heard this at a friend's house in his backyard. Wonderful sound! Went out and bought one the next day. Mine is linked to both my laptop and my AV receiver for two sources.

sounds great but the battery lasted for only 6 hours out of 14 advertised.

I wanted to replace my wired speaker system in my room for less clutter. I have wanted to purchase a Bose Soundlink since the first generations came out to replace my current set up. A lot of great reviews so I went ahead with the purchase of the Soundlink 3. Took the speakers home, set it up, and played some music via my laptop (bluetooth). I was not satisfied with the sound I was hearing so I tried other songs of different genres. I really wanted to like it, but after an hour of trying to convince myself to keep it, I reboxed it and returned it the next morning. The speakers sounds okay. Not enough treble and the base on all the songs were amplified which is not okay with me. For music that required a good amount of bass (at least to my liking), I thought there was not enough bass and I did have it couple inches in front of vertical walls. I guess it is a good product for being wireless (being my first) and compact, but I am sticking with my wired system for a bit longer until I can pair multiple units to get the effects of multiple speakers.

Good sound quality for a compact design. However, the major turn off would b there are no speakerphone capabilities and required a dedicated AC adapter for charging.

Had always wanted it. And finally I own it and I love the sound and the battery life. Just love my Bose!!

My boyfriend loved his speaker. It was a Christmas gift from me to him. I highly recommend it.

Iam somewhat an audiophile. I have high end home audio and DJ stuff, So when it came for a portable device I can't expect to much for what it is, the only problem is that there are lots of Bluetooth speakers out there some of which I consider over price for what you get. The Bose soundlink 3 is one of them, it's ok at best. My best friend waited and got the Beats PillXL, man I tell you when he comes to the BBQ that little thing truly rocks! I like my soundlink 3, but I will be getting a PillXL soon.

This is a classic Bose product. A lot of fanfare but little substance. This unit does not get very loud and has average to slightly above average sound quality. For 300 dollars this should sound a lot better. Additionally, it is not that small of a unit. For its size, one would expect better sound quality. For a cheaper, smaller speaker go with the Braven X. It's not only smaller, but has better sound quality and is waterproof.
