    Mediocre Sound, Quit Working after 3 mos

    I was quite excited to buy this, thinking it would be a great speaker to move from room to room and enjoy high quality sound. I found the sound to be mediocre at best--definitely not what I would expect from Bose or for the price. It took several attempts to get the bluetooth to work from the beginning & periodically I'd have to reconfigure devices to recognize it after having used it several times. A few days ago it quit entirely. I tried to update software, then tried the troubleshooting steps from Bose. Still no sound. Now it is a bulky, heavy paperweight. :(

      We noticed your review and wanted to follow-up to provide some additional information.

      We set out to make your workouts better, and engineered the SoundSport wireless headphones to be stable and comfortable, sweat and weather resistant, with amazing sound.
      For the vast majority of owners, the SoundSport wireless is delivering on its promise. But a small percentage of customers -- like you -- have experienced a problem. And that's not okay. We took every headphone returned to us, went back to our labs, and got to the bottom of it.

      We found that SoundSport doesn't perform like it should under specific conditions related to more extreme levels of sweat and moisture. And we now have a solution to make it work just as well for those customers, too. Going forward, every SoundSport wireless headphone will include this update, and they'll be ready by the end of August. Since you've had this issue, you're our priority. A new SoundSport wireless will be reserved for you, and sent free of charge.

    We bought the Bose Sound Dock Series II a few years ago and LOVE it. We use it primarily on our outdoor patio. We wanted another one for our vacation home and bought the upgraded Soundlink Bluetooth. We placed both next to each other at home and play the same music on each - the older Series II literally blew the newer Bluetooth out of the water! No comparison in volume, sound quality. We are pretty serious music people and will be bringing this back to get another Series II or maybe the series III. Don't waste your money on this unit.
