There's no telling how much it's been used and returned to Best Buy. I know Bose's sound, and believe me, its sound was not good at all. Yes, I'd recommend buying a new Bose, and NO I won't recommend buying 'Open Box'.

Yes, this speaker is compatible with the Bose Connect app. The speaker doesn't have native EQ controls, but you can move it closer to a wall or corner to naturally increase bass, or further away to decrease it. You can also try tweaking the EQ on your connected device, if available. Feel free to take a look at our other speakers - perhaps these will be more to your liking. However, the sound loudness is minimum. I thought it would be louder. there was not an opportunity to test the loudness of the system at the store and the same was not offered

I have many Bose products and I’ve never had any issues getting a replacement. This company is stealing your money go buy it someplace else but the item is awesome
