Many appreciate the loud, clear bass and the convenient handle for transport, along with its water resistance. This thing is not worth the money. It sounds like muffled elevator music. I’ve tried it with multiple devices and adjusted all the settings recommended. I want to jam out. I like to hear my music. What a waste of money. I even thought the speaker was broken and exchanged and had to pay for a new warranty. Wasted another $70.

      Hello,

It's disappointing to hear you were unimpressed with the sound quality of the SoundLink Revolve+ speaker.

Quiet is certainly not in the vocabulary of words I would use to describe this product. I would recommend checking to ensure your media device, and the music source volume are turned up as the volume controls on the speaker may not be synchronized with the device.

      Kind regards,

Small Speaker With a Big Sound

This speaker is amazing. It's easy to move thanks to the handle. It's extremely user friendly and takes no time at all to pair it with your phone. The battery lasts up to 16 hours per charge, which means you don't have to stop in the middle of the party to charge it. I like that if I set it down in one part of the house, I'm able to hear it everywhere including over the shower to drown out my horrible singing. I love that I can answer a phone call if my phone isn't handy thanks to the speakerphone, and with the crisp sound, there aren't any muffled sounds. Its sleek design makes it look sharp and it fits in with any room. This is another wonderful product from Bose.

It's unusual to hear of your concerns. Be sure to test the speaker with a different phone/tablet and app to isolate the root cause of the issue. We feature a 3.6" full range driver to create deep, loud, and immersive 360° audio in every direction.

Great big sound from a small speaker

It's a Bose bluetooth speaker. It looks a lot like a Google home, but completely lacks the assistant like functionality. This is simply a speaker and nothing more. It has a 3.5mm analog stereo input on it for connecting a source (I might recommend a chromecast audio device for instance). It comes with a power adapter and micro-usb cord for charging. Sold separately is the charging cradle that enables you to charge it quickly by placing it on top of the cradle. First, the sound quality is exceptional. It produces a really big sound for such a tiny device. And it's quite capable of filling a very large space. I tried it out in my living room which has 20 ft high ceilings and it did masterfully. I later tried it in my 2400 sq ft office space and it did very well there as well. The bass response is merely ok, but the range of mids and highs is quite good. The sound produced by this device is far superior to any other portable home speaker of this size. The Bose connect app is a giant piece of garbage right now. It is in need of major work. During the install phase you're expected to use the app. It failed and I wound up simply using my phone to connect to it by bluetooth. After that the app seemed to connect no problem. However, the app seems to be incapable of adjusting the audio or controlling what is playing on the revolve. Right now, the app has no value whatsoever and is in major need of work. This speaker's audio prowess combined with the power of Goggle Home or Amazon Alexa would be amazing! However, this is merely a speaker. Perhaps at some point we'll be able to cast to it or put it in the Google Home setup, but I doubt it. It seems to be limited to bluetooth alone, which means no casting as it lacks WiFi. This is something you could remedy with a Chromecast audio connected to it. That would turn this little speaker into quite a useful product. That being said I can only imagine the price tag on this device making you second guess the purchase just to have to perform all those shims to get what you really want in the end. If you're looking for a bluetooth only speaker with big sounds I would say go for it. If you need more take a pass. One last note: your phone will view this as a bluetooth audio device and as such will prompt you for audio notifications and all the little beeps and boinks that your phone produces while you're attempting to play music. That get's big time old in a hurry.

This speaker sounds fantastic. It is actually quite loud and the bass is very good as well as the overall clarity! For me where it really shines is when I am listening and relaxing not desiring loud thumping music. I have many Bluetooth speakers from small to large.. I am a junky you could say! This would not be one for us to have with a group of friends playing loud on camping trip etc. imho it sounds best just playing at mid volume relaxing on the porch after a long day. All the sounds are perfect there for me. When I play XM radio through it. The sound is much better than many other speakers that I own.. volume does not diminish nor does the quality, very happy with this speaker.

The Revolve+ is yet another Bose success. On paper, it might seem like just another portable speaker - which it is - but it has both Bose design and Bose performance, which set it apart from the others. It has a carry-handle on top that allows it to be easily/comfortably carried and/or clipped to a bag. It's got a tripod-thread insert on the bottom so it can be mounted almost anywhere, using a tripod or adapter. It's water/weather resistant so it can be used where there's water without fear. It's got rubber bumpers on the edges (I almost said "corners," but it's round!) to protect it from rough handling. It's got a forgiving and sturdy shell to let it do its job no matter where you take it! It charges via a standard micro-USB cord (cord & charger included) or via a separate, optional charging dock. Other BOSE speakers come with the dock, which is nice, but I s'pose it's a small enough add-on to let people choose for themselves. When it comes to performance, there were no surprises. Standard simplified rubber-covered buttons on top turn it on, control Bluetooth pairing/connection (along with and NFC tag to facilitate new connections), and control playback and speakerphone functions. These are pretty well industry standard by this point, and function as expected. The sound quality is where BOSE wins, as usual. Like every other BOSE speaker product, when the music starts playing, you wonder where the rest of the speakers are that are creating the sound you hear. This design has an all-around pattern, letting it be placed centrally in whatever space you're using and be heard equally well in every direction. You are also able, via the BOSE Connect smartphone app, to connect/synchronize 2 speakers and create "party mode" where one source device can play over multiple speakers simultaneously (disclaimer: I did not have more than one of this particular model to play with, but I've tested the technology before). The sound fills a room, when you're indoors, and fills a large space, when you're not confined. Only when both the speaker's volume and my source device's volume were both maxed did I begin to hear any degradation in the sound, and that could easily have been the source's fault - at any combination less than max/max, the sound quality was excellent - and extremely impressive for a unit this size. If I were to make recommendations for improvement, I would perhaps suggest that the charging dock be included (as mentioned above). I would also consider making the handle removable or stowable - it is nicely styled and matches the device, but it always sticks out in on direction or another and could be caught on other things if carried in a bag, etc. In any case, I would have no reservations about recommending this speaker to anyone. The BOSE build and sound quality make it a worthwhile addition to your audio device collection and the ability to pair more than one unit in "party mode" gives you the ability to have a large sound system in a tiny, transportable package. As usual, the "comparable" speaker from another manufacturer might be lower in price, but when it comes down to it, the quality and performance of those "comparable" speakers generally is not really comparable.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this new speaker, but it impressed me right out of the box. The charging cradle is a very nice addition and gives it an attractive base to sit on. Setup was very easy and the music controls are right on top of the device. Now, for the important opinion about the sound. Like all Bose products, the sound is very clear and clean. It isn't too heavy on the bass but it's enough for most tastes. The treble and middle ranges are perfect for my taste. I own high end headphones from Beats, JBL and Bose and I always end up like Bose's sound the best. This is no exception. I can see myself using this speaker while cooking, working out and working in the garage. I think you'll really like it!

This speaker has fantastic quality and the bluetooth connection was great! Coming from Bose I expected nothing but the best. The app is more for if you have a network of speakers so it didn't pertain to much to me but would be great if i had more to work with. It has a sleek design with easy to carry handle on top which makes it great to bring outdoors! I used it in and outside to listen to music. I don't feel it was lacking in anything to be honest. Very easy to use and i would highly recommend this product! I received this product to test in exchange for my own honest opinions.

Bose has done it again! I've been listening to the New Bose Bluetooth speaker for about 3 weeks and It sounds great. My favorite thing about this speaker is, the surprisingly loud volume compared to other bluetooth speakers, and previous Bose Soundlinks. Not to mention the amazing feature of beings water-resistant. Awesome Speaker

This speaker is outstanding. The sound it creates fills the room and has plenty of depth & bass. I purchased the small speaker and can't imagine needing the large one. I would highly recommend this speaker. Sound: In terms of sheer output, it's probably as good as can be expected for a driver that's less than 3" in diameter and is portable. There's some compression going on here to produce more bass, and that's not at all a bad thing in a speaker this size. It boosts the lowest frequencies that it can muster to give the impression of more bass than a speaker this size can actually produce. It does the same with the highs, which most big-box-store brands do because many people like the music to sound sharply detailed. I don't like either end being boosted, but, hey, it's a tiny speaker for casual listening. Anyone who wants something more than that either hasn't ever really heard a stereo system (and I suspect many young people actually haven't) or else needs to go larger (AudioEngine HD3, Marshall Stanmore, PeachTree Deep Blue 2, Aiwa Exos-9, or an actual wired system with bluetooth adaptor plugged in). What's hard to pull off is a small speaker that actually doesn't sound tinny. I have two excellent table radios, both of which happen to likewise have 3" diameter full-range drivers: a Sangean WR2 and Tivoli Model 1. The Revolve made me appreciate those all over again, because their mids and highs are so, so much more open and natural than the Revolve's. But they're vastly larger with more wattage. The only reasons to consider the Revolve over a *good* table radio would be size and portability.
