Its fickle af. Recommend skipping the dock and just plugging the cable directly into the speaker.

Ended up taking the speaker and dock back, OEM go figure.

It is difficult to plug the charging cord into the docking station. You can't hold it between your fingers and plug it in. You have to sort of hold it against the base with one finger and try to slide it into the port. If you don't want to charge the speaker anywhere but the docking station, then after the first time of attaching the cord you're good. However, sometimes I want to take the speaker in my car and charge it as I go, in which case I just bring the cord to plug into the speaker itself. So then I have to re-plug the cord back into the docking station if I want to use it later. Starting to think the docking station is pointless.
