I think this is one of the best sounding Bluetooth speakers I have ever heard. My wife bought me this for my birthday man it's just great. This was the last project Dr. Bose worked on before he died in July of 2013. They say 100 engineers at Bose helped produce this little piece of tech. I would say it's worth 200.00 easy. Enjoy

Everything I expected. Compact and sturdy. It's a little heavy for travel but I can live with that.

Had trouble deciding between this and the Beats by Dre Pill. Glad I chose this one. Sounds good for all music types. I listen to a lot of rap and the one thing that is lacking is bass, but of course it is. It is so small you can not expect big bass to come out of the little subwoofers. I also listen to some 90s music and that sounds absolutely great. Clear sound even at loud volume for this type of music. Rap will quiet down a little bit when the bass hits because it cannot handle the large amount of it. Regardless, great little speaker with big sound.

These are honest my experience... What is good.... 1. I like the design and portability that I can carry around. 2. Considering the size of the speaker, the volume is very loud and I like it. 3. Charging cradle is very convenient to charge. What is bad. 1. Mid and High notes are very poor. When the background music or sounds come with human voice, the voice is not quiet clear to hear. Voice sound is too dull to understand. 2. The spec. says the bluetooth can be paired with 6 different device. But in fact it connects to only one device only. Not like what it say, when keep pressing bluetooth button, it doesn't move to the next device, but it connect to the say device again. There is no indicator to know which device it connected to. You have to look around all devices it paired with. It is very very inconveniet. I usually use it with some laptops pc and tablet pcs. To connect to the device(laptops) you want, you have to turn off all bluetooth function of other devices. This is very stupid way to do. Searching around all the devices all around the house is very annoying. When you turn off bluetooth function of one device to connect to other device, the bluetooth keyboard and mouse function of the device is also turned off and when you turn bluetooth back on sometimes it cause 'device error.' You have to reboot the pc again. I thought that when you keep press button on the speaker it would automatically search and connect to the 'next device.' But it doesn't. This is very horrable. I with the bose could do a little better.

My husband loves this!! He takes it everywhere and the sound is great and its easy to use.

Easy to use and setup. Great sound clarity. I can actually hear the bass unlike some other portables I have tried. I am not much of an audiophile but I love this speaker! It is a bit heavy for the size but that is a minor issue for me since I won't be carrying it around.

okay guys main reason why i bought this was because of the reviews that where on here there great and i agree with them the sound is awesome i had jawbone jambox before but for some reason it was having issues when i leave it on and my computer was off the wires would get warn out fast and cost some issues but anyways this why i decided to purchase this item and i love it and its so loud and clean and crisp thank you BOSE

This thing is off the charts good! I am an active musician and recording artist. I recognize quality audio - and this is it. No way will you find anything that compares at this price point given today's options. A remote would be nice, as would a volume level LED. But other than that... This thing is a 10!

It is very compact and the sound from it is terriffic.

SOUND: Its well established on consumer and some critic reviews that this product is the go-to for picking up a portable bluetooth speaker. Something to note that might not be obvious for others, this wont sound any different from other 99$ speakers (UE Boom mini) at lower volumes; it's optimal at medium to higher volumes. To put it concisely: i wish everything in the sound was tighter and more separated; I know, its alot to ask for in a speaker this small, but i think bose could have done better. LOW END: The bass is definitely there, more so than any other in its class, but it doesn't perform well on more punchy and sharp tones. It works well where you expect it to: in a continuous hum in some jazz songs, acoustics, ... MID AND HIGHS: Again, the sound needs more separation. The mids and highs get lost. They arent overpowered by the bass, they just dont perform that well. I want to hear the clash of tambourines; its a bit underwhelming. As for volume, its easily one of the loudest in its class; its great for outdoor listening. EVERYTHING ELSE: For 200$, your getting a robust device with a tank-like build quality. It feels like a device priced higher than 200. It follows Bose's simple, conservative and understated design statement, and it works. Although, i get anxious when i bring it outside; it feels more like something that should be kept inside. Because of this, I do recommend getting some type of protective case, even the overpriced soft cover sold by bose; you don't want to scratch up a 200$ investment. It has no microphone for calling; for me, its not a Problem since i planned on using this exclusively for music. I wish Bose included a aux cable, but i guess they make up for it with an included nifty docking station. Controls are simple. No battery indicator but im ok with that. The rating in only based on sound and build. ADVICE: Everyone has different preferences. Im being very critical in this review, so for most people, they will find the sound absolutely perfect, for others with a more distinct taste, it might disappoint. If you are considering buying one, go ahead, you can always return it if you want. ALSO, make sure you understand what your looking for: if you not looking for something portable, you can find speaker systems for 200 that offer a better dynamic range. Think of this as an exemplum of its class, if it doesnt work for you, you'll know you have to spend more for better PORTABLE sound. Hope you find something that works for you!

Bought this since I am going on vacation and wanted some speakers for my iOS devices. Greatest sounding portable speakers on the market for its size/price; Pill by Beats and Jambox do not compare! Bose all the way. You get what you pay for...

Compared to its size this one delivers an amazing sound.

This is a awesome product. It has lasted me for over a year and it still sounds as good as when I purchased it. Good battery easy to use and just a great speaker.
