    Review of Bose Soundlink Headphone

Thank you for the gift of the Bose Headphone and privilege to evaluation their listening performance! The headphones are constructed sturdy. Yet the headphones exterior feels nice and smooth to the touch. The ear muffs are soft on the ears. Muffs seat firmly and do not slip off with causal movement. The skeleton (frame) range of adjustment is adequate to suit the size of my head. The headphone weight is reasonable (159 grams). Though not really bothersome, I can still feel the top of headphones resting on top of my head. (I sweat profusely at the gym. I am concerned about how the sweat affects the headphones. How absorbent are the muffs?) Though the on/off control uses a slide switch, perhaps it guards against inadvertent turn on. However, it is a little arkward manipulating. I would perfer button push instead. I like the voice indicating the power level. Also I like light indicators for power level. Good voice feature stating connectivity. The sound quality is good. Noise reduction is good. However, it you would interesting to have base, midrange, and tweeter control on the headphone. It is handy to make a plug connection between headphone and plug in devices like computer. Overall I like the headphones. I would recommend Bose Headphones to others.

    The Best Bluetooth Headphones...

I've owned several headphone sets in life and only Bose has been able to capture my attention with their superior results. Having sampled other sets like Beats, Sony and Harmon Kardon; these have met the standards that Bose is known for and the other headsets are just not there yet with the technology and sound quality. The Bluetooth works great and I would've expected some sound degradation but that wasn't the case. These headphones sound great! I would also like to add how much I appreciate the design as it collapses easily and is extremely comfortable to wear and easy to store. While the price is high but fair, you get what you pay for and these are well worth the money!

How disappointing. As yours are not the comments we're used to reading about any Bose headphones we'd like to check to be sure they're connected and working properly. Just wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a bluetooth set of on-ear headphones that sounded great for travel, and these left me really underwhelmed. Luckily I was able to return and pick up a different pair. No that these headphones are terrible, but at their price point, I did expect a better sounding pair of headphones. I ended up going with the QC35s.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with our headphones. We agree that, for frequent travelers, the QC35 headphones are the best choice due to the active noise cancellation technology. Bose

First pair the left side had about 50% of the sound that the right side had. Retuned for another pair which also had the same issue however not near as bad as the first pair. The wife could barely tell there was a difference and opted to keep. Personally I would have returned the second pair based on price and quality. I would expect better from Bose.

    Best overall on-ear wireless headphones

So far I have purchased three bluetooth headsets from BestBuy in order to find the one that I like the best. They are Beats Studio Wireless, Beats Solo2 Wireless, and Bose Soundlink OnEar Wireless. Here's what I think of each and which one I kept : Beats Studio Wireless - Gorgeous headsets. Really. Love the colors. - Comfortable, though not Bose QuiteComfort comfortable as they have heft. These are over the ear so they are not in the same class as the on-ear I later describe. - Super easy to use with visual battery indicator and software for Mac/PC to change bluetooth name, show charge, and update firmware. - The noise cancellation isn't that great. As a matter of fact if you are already in a quiet environment and/or listen to soft music (classical, new age, space, etc) you WILL HEAR HISS. Not good. If you listen to any music that is busy all the time and loud (pop, rap, techno, etc) these are SUPER headphones with the best sound for wireless. - Bluetooth connectivity was a breeze for my iPhone and MacBook Pro. - I returned them because I couldn't stand the HISS in quiet environments and you can NOT turn the noise cancellation off. Beats Solo2 Wireless - Small compared to Beats Studio and lighter. Same battery visual indicator and MAC/PC software to change bluetooth name and update firmware. Very cool. - Super sound for such a small set of wireless headphones. The sound is geared a little more to pop, rap, techno as the mids were not as pronounced during smooth jazz tracks. Great presence though. - Cushions are large and placement on the ear is not critical. The cushions are also firm and block outside noise, but the firmness is a drawback since there will be pressure on your ears that will be noticeable after awhile. The great sound can make up for it, but I did have to take 1 hour breaks from it. - Bluetooth connectivity was a breeze for my iPhone and MacBook Pro. - Overall great on-ear headphones for anything but smooth jazz, classical, or any other type of soft music (it's still good, just not great) BUT I couldn't handle the heft and pressure on the ears compared to the Bose so I returned them. Bose Soundlink OnEar Wireless - Super light weight with speaker cushions to die for. Yes, they are like little pillows on your ears! Wearing these for an extended time is NO problem (just like the Bose QuietComforts can be worn for hours on end without notice). - The sound is bright, crisp, clear, and with a sound profile that is more "flat" than the Beats. The bass is clear and tight, but not for those who are die-hard bass fans. With a little EQ you can get the bass up but I was plenty pleased without it. - Did I mention how light and comfortable these are? Plus 3 more hours on a charge than the Solos2 Wireless? - Bose case has compartments for cords where the Solo2's do not. - Bluetooth connectivity was a breeze for my iPhone but a little bit tricky on my MacBook Pro. Sometimes it's hard to connect to my Mac, but never an issue to my iPhone. One other neat feature of the Bose is the ability to connect to two device simultaneously! So cool so you don't have to do a "switch" between your two favorite devices. - I kept the Bose since overall the sound is much more refined for a wider spectrum of music (which is my taste).

    Excellent bluetooth phones

I had been thinking about getting a set of bluetooth headphones mainly for the purpose of listening to music on my iPhone 6. Having tried some others and returned them, I decided to try the Bose. I'm very pleased. Bluetooth was not originally intended to be used for hi-res stereo. Early on it was just for telephone earpieces and file wireless transfers. However, the bluetooth standard and the codecs required to make it feasible for music have evolved. The SoundLink is a good example of how to do it right. Most audiophiles shy away from bluetooth headsets and some of them are not good. This is an exception. Its very enjoyable. For critical listening I have other phones, but the iPhone isn't the ideal source for hi-res (FLAC) music anyway. These are headphones for everyday listening and use. Finally, the phone part works very well too. The sound quality is excellent and the phones announce the caller. No problem pairing with iOS devices.

    Amazingly pure sound!

These headphones provide amazingly clear sound quality in surround sound... WOW! They are very comfortable. They don't squeeze your head nor do they just fall off. They are very light weight. The ear pads are a good size, soft and extremely comfortable. The connection was easy to establish. The battery seems to go relatively fast. I will watch this over time and leave additional feeback if I notice any trend. When the battery got to 30% the volume dropped off markedly. These are great for every day use for music, calls, and watching video in surround sound. I have owned three pair of the Bose noise cancelling headphone (kept leaving them on airplanes!) but hated being attached by the cable. Same is true of the Bose ear buds I own. This product is a big step forward. I would highly recommend this product!

    Best on the market

These are the best sounding wireless headphones on the market. They are light and feel great wearing them. They get a little tight after 8 hours or so of wearing them. But they're better than any alternative. They're not noise cancelling, but that's okay. Bottom line, I love them and would recommend them to any audiophile. Don't get drawn in by the allure of fancy Beats headphones. They don't compare.

Very easy to use and connect to any device with Bluetooth. Excellent sound while eliminating external noise with a more compact size of headphones making them much easier to wear, transport, and store. They also come with a nice compact carrying case and extra headphone jack plug should you have other devices without Bluetooth. Convenient charging by plugging into any USB port. My 12 year old son has told me they are much better than any other gamer headphones he has used over the years!!
