We recommend that you place your mobile device on or near your right side when the headphones are in use. The Bluetooth signal is first processed by the right earbud which is then streamed to the left. If there is any interference with the Bluetooth signal, the left ear will drop out first. They are heavy and feel bulky (as I’m sure you can imagine). Also, these are only useful for playing music. If taking a call, only one ear bud is active - but sure how owe thought that would be a good idea. I definitely would return if I could.

Once the synch is lost it is gone for good and can only be replaced not repaired. And if you are using with a busy phone, the music plays in both earbuds when they are working, but phone calls only come thru mono on one side.. I tried with a tech assist to fix these, but no avail.

Posted .Hi Pamela. Thank you for taking the time to review our SoundSport Free headphones. I'm glad to hear that you think the sound is great, and i'm sorry to hear of the sync issues you've had. With regards to this, I would normally recommend you manually update these, clear the Bluetooth list, reset these and let these run flat before charging again. Failing all of the above, I would recommend reaching out to support directly. As far as the phone calls are concerned, only the right earbud will produce audio during a phone call. This is normal due to the technology used to broadcast audio from the right bud to the left bud, known as True Wireless Stereo (TWS). This is also the case with most other wireless earbud brands that use TWS.

Now issue is how the fitting of the war comes in to play. I am active in cycling and other sports. I was cycling one afternoon and this a small bump on the road. The ear bud came off and fell over the bridge. Obviously could not retrieve. There goes $200 dollars. I am switching to a different brand and type of wireless. Hope this helps.
