Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

Don't get me wrong Bose makes great products but wireless technology still needs time to make it more reliable. Sound cuts in and out. Go wired

      Hello, Gofishpro.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We're glad to hear that you have enjoyed previous models of our wired headphones, however, it concerns us to learn about the difficulty you've experienced with this product.

With the unique design of the SoundSport Free, the signal flow from your headphones will go from your connected device to the right earbud, where the signal is processed and then streamed to the left earbud. Due to this, we recommend keeping your device on the right side of your body when possible. Please also try clearing your Bluetooth pairing list with the steps here: https://bose.life/2AgwDBb.

If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at 1-800-367-4008 for further assistance. They are available M-F 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern. Thank you, and have a great day! Jesse - Bose Support Bose

Only thing is you can’t use the left side by it self. You must use the right side in order to use the left (can’t have a single left)

    Excellence As Always

Let me start off by saying, I did not receive these for free. I have owned a pair of QC35's for a little more than a year, which I use daily. I saw that these had dropped $50 so purchased them for $199. I had my eye on them for some time. I prefer over the ear headphones, and I have never liked how any of the in-ear buds fit. After reading reviews of how comfortable they are, I decided to give them a try, because, there are some times when discreet headphone use is better. I am an apple user and have never liked or used their headphones, so this is why I chose the Soundsport Free over the Air Pods. As for pros, as usual the sound quality is superior. They are also comfortable to wear, even though I have only worn them for a few hours at a time. I have never used them until they died. I also like the idea of the charging case. They are also discreet, which is good for work environments, dr offices, or places where you just don't want anyone to know you're listening to your device. I was in a seminar that I had to attend but for about an hour of it, I had one in my ear listening to a documentary. Not a lot of cons but, there is always room for improvement. There is like a 1 second delay when watching video but it is not a deal breaker for me. Another would be, phone calls only play thru the right bud... which is strange to me, because I am used to using the QC35's for calls which play in both ears. I have been taking the left bud out when I use the phone. I am not usually a bud user so, I don't know if this is common. Third, they are pricey... as all Bose products are. The $199 sale made the purchase easier for me. I had 2 weeks to return them, but they are keepers. They are now a part of my daily essentials.

      Hi Originalgyp0,

Thank you for taking the time to review our SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones, I am sorry to hear you are having issues with the battery Life. For maximum results from the headphones we would suggest ensuring the headphones firmware is up to date.
We would also recommend ensuring that the sounds on your phone such as keyboard clicks are turned off as this can have an impact on battery life.

Should you still have issues after this please reach out to your local customer service team.

      Kind Regards,

I really wanted to love these headphones. I work at a desk 8 hours a day. The headphones were dead in just over 4 hours. The specs state phone is only over one ear. This is true and was the game changer for me. When listening to great music, the phone rings in one ear, with total silence in the left ear. This is very disconcerting. I don't recommend these headphones unless you don't plan to use them for long periods of time, and don't take phone calls.

This is the second set I’ve had in two months. First set left bud started cutting out, then both stopped working. Returned them for another pair. Today the left bud started cutting out. Batteries are full. Jury still out on this set. I bought Bose because they are supposed to be the best. Had a pair of wireless headphones and they only lasted for two years. Bose is losing ground in confidence with their products.

Hello Iwatchmovies1234. Thank you for reviewing the SoundSport Free wireless headphones. There will be an audio/video delay present, depending on the source and compression method used. We are able to mitigate most of that with recent updates so be sure to keep your earbuds on the current firmware release. As the right earbud receives the signal and passes it via Bluetooth to the left earbud, we recommend keeping your source device within line of sight of the right earbud to reduce interference. Thanks for sharing your feedback. Have a great day! Best Regards, Greg - Bose Support Bose

    WAY BETTER THAN JAYBIRD RUN,

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought the JAYBIRD run 2 weeks ago after a week of waiting for any improvements for their firmware issues resulting to connectivity problems i returned it and wait for this BOSE SOUNDS-SPORT FREE This is better in terms of connectivity ,Design of buttons while using it. Everytime you need to push the button on runs it push towards your ear canal which is hurting my ear. This Bose is better because the buttons are on the top so it's like your pinching the button. there are some delays for watching the videos and i know they can fix it soon. Bottom line: Save more money for this instead of Jaybird runs about $70 more but you will not regret. You can hear some ambient noise but its okay for me. the sounds are very good for this type of device better than jaybird runs for sure. one thing that ii hope that the case is not rubberized feel i like the finished of jaybird run charging case because Bose Case is just easy to get some scratches and wears if its inside the gym bag!b

We are happy to hear that you like them so much! We’ve heard from some customers who are experiencing audio synchronization delays while watching videos.  We know truly wireless headphones are subject to some latency between audio and video, but the feedback we’ve received indicated the product wasn’t performing how we expected.

A SoundSport Free software update is now available to improve audio-video synchronization for most customers and use situations.  You can download the new software wirelessly through the Bose Connect app or by visiting btu.bose.com on your computer.  This update will benefit customers with Bluetooth devices that fully support Audio Video Distribution Transport Protocol (AVDTP) version 1.3 or later.  We have confirmed Apple iPhones and iPads use this protocol and we continue to evaluate other popular Bluetooth devices.  Audio-video synchronization may also vary depending on the mobile app being viewed (e.g. Netflix, YouTube).  We encourage customers to use the most recent software for your mobile apps, Bluetooth devices, and Bose headphones.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly at our Customer Support Line at 1-800-379-2073. We're open Mon-Fri, 9 AM to 8 PM. Or you can follow us on Twitter @BoseService. Bose
