From the very get go, I notice that I couldn't get very far from my phone without interference. Then every now and then the left your piece would you signal with sound and a lot of distortion. I thought maybe on the 2nd day things would get better. I even downloaded all of the updated firmware that was necessary, and still the exact same performance. Returned them on the 2nd day.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little over a year and Bose has failed to fix one of the major issue with these headphones: Video Lag I knew I should have returned them right off the bat, but gave Bose the benefit of the doubt to resolve the issues, but they haven't, and apparently wont. They do work fine for audio only, but watching videos (Youtube, netflix, etc) there is easily 1-1.5 second lag, which makes these absolutely useless. A $50 pair of cheap wireless earbuds from other brands have almost no lag, and sound just as good as these. SAVE YOUR $$$ if you plan on watching videos.

Amazing Sound Quality

I use them for cross-fit style workouts, rowing, and running. They are more comfortable than other headphones I have tried, and it’s especially nice not having to worry about a cord getting caught and getting pulled out of my ears. The ear pieces feel very similar to the Bose QuietControl 30 headphones. I love the convenience of the charging case as I have not had them die on me in the middle of a workout. Pros: - Amazing sound quality - Very comfortable (one ear stays put really well on me, the other tends to slip a little depending on how intense my workouts are) - The find-your-headphones feature is very helpful if you misplace them. However; the sound of the chime is pretty quiet if in the charging case. - The charging case is a great feature and they easily and quickly connect to your phone as soon as you take them out. - Initial setup on the app is easy to follow. - Talking on the phone with the right ear in is clear and easy to connect - The battery lasts (depending on use) for a few days in the charging case, making it nice not to always have to charge them before going to the gym or going for a run. Cons: - The buttons on the side to control the volume are a little harder to press. - One of the headphones tends to slip in my ear (but has not fallen out) so depending on your ear shape they can fit differently. - The charging case in a little large for my liking but not a game changer. - The headphones do project out from my ears a bit.

It's great to hear that you like the headphones but it's a shame that you experienced latency when gaming this is due to the technology used. There is generally a slight delay with Bluetooth audio which can be noticeable with video sources. This can differ between apps/sources, though the delay may be more apparent with the SoundSport Free due to the true wireless technology, using a signal path that runs from the source device to the right earbud which then sends data to the left earbud.
