Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

Pros: stylish, sound, quality, features, ease of use, quick charging case, voice promps. Buttons on ear buds Cons: looses connection between the earbuds every now and then, app not the greatest. buttons on the ear buds are hard to use. These are pretty stylish. I would recommend them to anybody. I use them for running, fast movement. They stay pretty solid. I normally use the medium ear silicone piece, But i notice my ears hurt after a little bit of use. I switched to the small ear silicone piece and they fit just as snug, and the ear pain went away. I am overall really happy with the sound quality. On a full charge, the Bose earbuds lasted roughly 4.5 hrs. That seems to be the standard operating use with the wireless ear buds across the board. The case is small, stylish enough and does the job of charging the buds. Once you put the buds back in the charging case, it charges within the hour. I was quite impressed with that. The voice prompt when you take the buds out of the case is nice too. The lady lets you know when the buds are connected and what device they are connected too, when the battery is low, etc. The app is just OK. It acts as a secondary music app, meaning you have to open another music app first, and the Bose app works off that. But the Bose app, you can't fast forward or rewind songs and i thought that was stupid, defeats the purpose of it being a music app. The con is they tend to loose connection between the ear buds themselves. Neither buds lost connection with my phone and that was good. But when the phone was in my pocket.....every now and again, the buds would loose connection with each other. It was only momentary, i never had to do anything to get them to reconnect. They did it on their own within a second or two. (hence the 4 stars). The buttons are hard to push, more than likely, you will have to take the ear buds out of your ear to use the buttons on the earbuds. I do recommend them, I am happy with my purchase so far.

I am so impressed with these! I was debating on purchasing the completely wireless earbuds or the ones with a wire still. So happy I chose these! Clear sound, awesome bass and they are very comfortable. Battery life is fine for this type of product. Also, the case is freaking sweet. LOVE!

Don't expect to get the firmware updated via the app. Unit came with 1.3.7, constantly crackling, popping and disconnecting. They would be returned had I not been on vacation and not wanting to take the time to return them. Guess I'll try updating with a computer when I get back. So in a nutshell don't buy these unless you plan on having a computer and a couple hours to make them work. Major letdown.

During the workout this is perfect; however, if you want to watch movies or videos, this is useless. There is 1 second time lag between video and the sound. I experienced this time lag with the MacBook, iPhone, windows laptop, and iPad. Installed 2018 latest Firmware, but didn't fix the issue. For $200 and 2017 Sept released product, this is garbage. What happened to you BOSE? Going to return this.

Hello there Sam2. We appreciate you taking the time to write your review on the SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing a delay in the audio-video synchronization. The firmware we have released that improves audio-video synchronization on devices that support Bluetooth AVDTP Protocol 1.3 or later. Audio-video synchronization may also depend on the app being viewed. We encourage you to use the most recent software of your mobile apps, and Bluetooth devices. We hope this helps! Have a wonderful day. Ashley - Bose Support Bose

    Overall best wireless earbuds around

I have been using these headphones for about a month and here are my pros and cons. Pros: Awesome sound, battery life, comfortable fit, easy to connect and great base station for recharge. Cons: Mono sound during phone calls and only being able to connect to one device at a time. When I am using them for working out, they are the best around. When using for work and on the computer, there are some limitations. Overall though, they are the best i have ever tried. Highly recommended.

Tried several times to reach a store but the store hours are a nightmare for people that still have a regular work schedule and still going to an office. I can understand adjustments due to Covid but BB should also apply more flexibility for returns. Flexibility and understanding goes both ways. Switching to Amazon for easier return process.

    A Solid Package

    Posted .

Intro: For this review, I will list several categories and remark upon each of them. I will then end with some closing thoughts. I hope you find this review to be helpful in your (possible) purchase! Sound quality: For Bose, the sound quality is on par with other audio devices they sell. The sound is rich, the bass is there (but not too over-powering), and the mid-range sounds pretty natural. Taking calls on the earbuds is an easy process and both sides of the phone call can hear each other with almost “crystal clear” quality. Noise cancelling: As one might expect with “true” wireless earbuds, the noise cancelling isn’t the greatest. While it is able to passively block out some noise, it is not on the level of other (non-true wireless) earbuds. Then again, to my knowledge, Bose does not market these to be noise cancelling. Thus, with that in mind, any level of (unintentional) noise cancelling is great. Compared to Apple’s Airpods, I would say that the Airpods are able to block out noise slightly better than the SoundSport Free. Bluetooth/Tech: The Bluetooth connection works great on the Bose SoundSport Free. The range is fairly good (on par with other wireless earbuds). The earbuds also can pair with an app that has the ability to control the basic functions. Form factor: The case itself is rather large but small enough to not be a nuisance. The case is very well built and includes a battery to charge the physical earbuds while you are on the go. I was able to charge my earbuds multiple times and overall, the Bose SoundSport free lasted around 5-7 days depending on the daily usage. Overall, the case is portable and lightweight enough to carry around virtually anywhere. Regarding the buds themselves, they are pretty large. They are pretty noticeable when one is actually wearing them and that may be a minus depending on what kind of person you are. One plus of their large size is that Bose was able to include a large battery, which means longer runtimes. Other than that, they are really comfortable and the signature Bose StayHear+ Sport tips are magnificent: they stay in while sitting, working out, running, etc. Speaking of working out, the SoundSport Free is water-resistant and getting sweaty on them is no problem: everything still functions normally. The in-line remote is a little hard to control but with use overtime, I feel like that should not be a huge problem. Conclusion: Overall, the Bose SoundSport Free is a solid package offering great sound quality in a portable package. While a tad larger than most true wireless earbuds, the battery life and the aforementioned sound quality more than make up for it. Coupled with the great battery life, comfortable ear tips and the case (with charging capability), this is a great buy for anyone desiring to get into wireless audio devices.

Helllo DrStu. Thank you for your review on the SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We are sorry to hear that the comfort and stability have not met your expectations. We recommend trying the alternate sizes of the StayHear+ Sport tips included with the headphones. Information on how to choose the correct size for you can be found here: https://.bose.life/2r5r8RV. This may also assist with the sound quality as they are designed to spread contact evenly around the inside of your ear, while the fin conforms naturally to the shape of the upper ridge of your ear. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards. Ashley - Bose Support Bose
