Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

Excited for NO wires; but confusing

I have the Bose wired soundsport headphones, so I was excited to try these with absolutely no wires. Was a little disappointed by the complexity and difficult operation. From what I could tell there is no power button, just a button that looks like one. When you press and hold it, it actually disconnects you from the device you were connected to. The volume buttons are difficult to press, and my big fingers have a hard time getting to the Siri button. I will still use them as they are absolutely wireless, but why not include a better instruction booklet instead of making me download an app to figure out how to use the things. Like the charger/power bank though. Although it charges the power bank and the headphones at the same time so you don’t know when your headphones are charged. Just need to make the buttons a little easier to use.

Amazing headphones!

We were able to test these for free thanks to home testers club. The quality of these are amazing, they are by far the best headphones we’ve ever owned. They did fit better in my spouses ears then mine because mine tend to be small for any headphone but they still worked, just not as comfy. I’d definitely recommend to anyone interested.

A decent set of headphones

These headphone were pretty nice when I initially bought them. I had an LG platinum set for a few months and they started messing up on me, so since I had the warranty on it still, I exchanged them for these. The battery life on them is decent, along with the charging case. I would get roughly 4 hours on a full charge, and they would fully charge in the case after about 15 minutes. The two things I just did not like, was the controls were fairly hard to press without the right headphone (where all the controls are at) falling out. The headphones themselves also would hurt my ears when I had them in. I had tried using the smaller size buds, but it would still end up hurting my ears. I returned them after giving them a chance for 3 days and I exchanged them for the Bose QC 30's which I like very much so far.

Great headphones but at times the bluetooth connection drops in the left ear bud. Furthermore, when using the earbuds for an extended period of time they can become very uncomfortable. However, overall I am satisfied with the product and would reccomend it to other customers.

Why didn’t I buy these sooner. I bought the Bragi pro. Thought they were pretty nice but were difficult to pair most times. Lost one. Bought expensive replacement couildnt get the darn things to pair properly. Finally said eff it and bought these. Super easy to pair and music sounds way better on these. Haven’t tried calls yet but think I will be pleased!!!

I was really hoping these would be better than the new Jaybird Run wireless ear buds. However, they have the same very poor bluetooth connectivity issue and just as bad. I returned my pair after my first experience. A 20 minute walk around the neighborhood with the dog resulted in at least seven complete bluetooth drops and more than double that in left-ear only cut-outs. They reconnect automatically and very quickly, but it is still aggravating and disruptive. I suppose if you can live with constant interruptions in your music, these are a good fit with good sound. I can't. Bose and Jaybird should have both waited until they had the technology right before releasing something so pricey. I have learned my lesson and will wait a few more years before I try this type of "ear bud" again.

Poor quality of buttons, on the headphones. Material was not good it popped out . Now I can’t use it . Check with Bose for support. But they are saying replace with 169 $ . Which is even more that the original cost of head phone. I was true fan of Bose . With other Bose I teams I collected in past and present for the quality of it. But this one is bad in quality

I really wanted to love these things, but they are getting returned. I just purchased these today and will be taking them back tomorrow. My needs are pretty simple. I wanted a wireless, in ear set that would allow me to listen to music when I work out and to make phone calls. Based on those basic needs, these fit the mold, on the surface. If you are looking for something to listen to during a workout, I am sure these are phenomenal. My issues is directly related to using them for phone calls. Before I get into the pros and cons, I will sum up the single issue that is leading to my return. When using for phone calls, audio only works on the right ear. While the person I talked to on my initial phone call said they could hear me just fine even with some background noise (I was driving with my windows up), I had some issues hearing him. After years of getting used to stereo calls with audio in both ears, even with other Bose products (Bose QC 20, QC 30, and QC 35 II), I can't go backwards in technology and time. So, if phone call functionality isn't a big deal for you, I'm sure you will be happy with this purchase.
Pros:
- Comfort seemed pretty good
- Carry case is small, sleek, and pretty awesome
- Audio was almost what I expected, but maybe came up just a tad short. It was still good.
- Pairing with my iPhone was super easy and effortless. I already have the Bose app installed on my iPhone because I have several Bose products. If you don't have the app, download it before buying this. It will make pairing a breeze.
Cons:
- Single ear audio for phone calls (deal killer)
- The buttons seem kind of hard to push. Granted, I didn't spend a lot of time with these, but I did have to press pretty hard on the buttons. Volume up works well. The middle button took more pressure than it probably should. Volume down is in an odd position, so applying more pressure wasn't as easy.
- While listening to music, the left ear kept dropping out
I may be overly critical of Bose here, but we are talking about Bose and there are certain expectations one has when buying anything with their branding attached to it. That said, true wireless is still early technology. I have read issues about sync issues and one of the ears dropping out on various competitive products. This isn't a Bose issue necessarily, but you should know it exists. It may be possible that some of the issues I have with these are due to the current state of true wireless technology. Regardless, these won't fit my specific needs, but they may fit yours.

Hi CanonShooter, Thanks for sharing your experience with the SoundSport Free headphones. We are sorry that they didn't live up to your expectations. It sounds like you're a big fan of our Bose products too, we appreciate that! We certainly want to keep you in the Bose family. Regarding the phone communication aspect of the headset, this is a technical limitation of the Truly Wireless Technology that we utilized for the SoundSport Free headphones where the master (right) earbud cannot send call audio to the left earbud. This is typical of this technology, and there are several other benefits to using this, such as comfort, fit, and unrivaled sound quality, as well as convenience. Hello, Luis.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We're happy to hear that you enjoy the SoundSport's audio quality.
The SoundSport Free was engineered for single-ear use on phone calls. This way users can enjoy the SoundSport as a Bluetooth calling headset while keeping the left earbud in the case. We completely understand your concerns, and our product team is always looking for feedback.
We are sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulty with your Bluetooth connection. We'd first recommend clearing your pairing list with the steps at the bottom of this page: https://bose.life/2AgwDBb. If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tech support team at 1-800-367-4008 for further assistance. They are available M-F 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern. Thank you, and have a great day.

Pros:
The sound that these headphones offer is amazing! Definitely the best part about them. The other advantage is how quickly they sync to devices, this process is seamless!
Cons:
After 6 months I returned my headphones because the left ear bud would frequently disconnect, the headphones were always off synced to videos, and they let far too much outside noise in. I wanted these to bike with since I only ever have one earbud in when biking, but because they stick so far out the wind totally canceled out whatever I was trying to listen to.
Overall, I would not recommend purchasing these.

People are being WAY to hard on these. There is a slight delay if you are turning up the volume or typing on your phone, but they sound great when listening to music or watching a show. A lot more secure in your ear than AirPods. Can’t go wrong with Bose, plus you are supporting an American company.

These are great headphones. I have the original soundsport as well. The ear size is slightly more snug on these compared to the other ones. The sound is slightly better because of that.
I’ve used these at the gym and they stay put very well. The only downfall is that I have to take out the case every time someone comes up to me to put them away because I am used to letting them hang with the wire. Just something to think about if you talk to people at the gym.
These are also heavier then the other ones. Slightly more bulky which I think is a downfall. It took some getting used to with the weight of them.
Overall they are good, not sure which ones I like more the regular or these. I usually switch off. The battery life is an improvement as well because of the charging case.

I have had these Bose SoundSport free wireless headphones for almost a month now and I am WAY beyond happy with the whole experience with these. I signed up rite as I got them on thier app, which was amazed I can locate one or both earbuds if I lose them. First and foremost the sound I heard from this little tiny earbud, was absolutely amazing and perfect. My songs with bass, had some of the best bump I have heard in most any speaker. They fit in my ear and was so comfortable. I didn't have any problem at all, with them staying in place. I ran with these and have done a ton of activities with them. I never had one mishap. They were wonderful!!! I personally wasn't sure about using these since I always had no luck with anything that goes in my ears for my phone but this product has sold me rite from the opening of the package and the first second a song was played, I was in love!

Other than slightly bulking I am in love... I was unsure if they would stay due to size and my big curly hair but they do and the sound is incredible and easy to use! I have many other headphone but the noise cancelling and crisp clear sound for music or conference calls is perfect...

I was hesitant at first with wireless headphones.I shouldn't have been. These stay in perfectly and are quite snug- there is no chance of them falling out even while working out and sweating. The sound quality is very good, and knocks out outside sound

Hugh Bose Fan but when I purchased these, I was hoping the update fixed the voice sync issue when watching a movie. Other than that, music is awesome and they stay put when working out. I ended up returning them. The bluetooth syncing issue is NOT normal as I have other Bose bluetooth headphones with no issues what so ever. This product is a big fail to those that also use these to watch movies.

These Bose earbuds have great sound for watching videos or listening to music. They are not so great for mobile gaming. They have a 2-3 second delay on all games and almost everything besides streaming video. I will be returning them since they can't be used for everything I wanted them for. At $200 I was really expecting them to be nearly perfect. I was really hoping for them to work for me as they are very comfortable and I really like the charging case.
