He had a pair of Sony for several years but they broke, so wanted a replacement. The price was a bit higher than what we wanted to pay but based on all the positive reviews, Bose's reputation, and the manufacturer's warrant totally sold us. My husband is very happy blasting his favorite music. Happy husband, happy wife.

The quality is fair. I've had other pairs and after some use the wire strips where it connects to the ear piece. Expect them to last about a year.
