I had previously purchased JBL Contour headphones before purchasing these. My PowerBeats broke after 3 years and I needed something that would be comfortable and excellent for working out since I do a lot of interval training and running. I bought these yesterday, wore them to the gym at night and I'm not disappointed! I'm a skeptic when it comes to headphones having only the fins on them instead of sitting around the ear because I'm always afraid they'll fall out when I'm running. These stayed in my ears the entire time with no irritation and I had no problems with sweat getting in them. Battery life is also fantastic; they come pre-charged at 60%. I charged them to 80% before the gym and I have used them for about 5 hours total so far (they're only at 60%). The sound quality is also superb versus most other ones I've tried, but I definitely expected this from Bose. Although they aren't noise cancelling, I can hardly hear my surroundings with these on. One thing that I don't like is how bulky the headphones are, though. Nonetheless, the wire between the earbuds is lightweight and not very long to be bothersome and you don't have to adjust it like you would on PowerBeats. I have yet to try the pulse monitoring on these as I didn't download the app, but once I do, I will update my review on how well it is. Otherwise, amazing headphones. I highly recommend them.

These head phones are not loud and for the price you would expect lots more from them. Overall tried them then returned the same day. Bose shouldn’t of put their name on these.

The sound quality is excellent. They are lightweight and comfortable with the right sized eartips. Paired with my phone making calls was easy and the recipient heard me clearly as well. Battery life was as advertised. I used them on and off listing to music over a course of seven hours. The only thing that could possibly be better is the heart rate monitor. It seemed a bit finicky and would jump around a bit so it is a bit hard to say how accurate it is but that was when using the bose app. I had yet to try using another fitness app.

    Good Sound-Weird/new fit

*The sound quality is great on these new Bluetooth headphones. *The sync and app worked immediately with no issue. (you need to download the Bose app to get some of the features like heart rate and settings). *The earpiece is a different design than I am used too. They opted for a unique shape rubber insert to eliminate the need for an over ear clip. *The button controls are easy to reach, and use. The new fit takes a little getting used to but after a couple days seemed normal and comfortable. Unlike regular earbuds or other Bluetooth earbuds like the LG Tone these are bulkier at the ear but seem well supported and not likely to fall out. This is needed since all the electronics are housed at the ear rather than in a separate neck band. All in all I am pleased with the design because it is less likely to fall out like my LG Tones do when I am exercising on my back. Also the small connecting wire has a shirt clip to keep in place on your back (if you are shirtless this doesn't help) They are an open design and allow background noise in. This is great if you are outside running or in a gym with friends and still want to hear surrounding noise. It is problematic if you are using them to cut the grass and are trying to drown out the noise. The devise button controls are very simple. Only Volume up/down, Play/Pause, Skip, Call Answer. These last 3 are the same button and controlled by the number of times you press in a row. These are all on the connecting wire between ear buds. There are more controls/settings on the app. The headphones come with a carrying case, micro-USB charging cable (no plug), and 3 sets of rubber inserts (S, M, L). Headphones and rubber inserts are all labeled with size and R/L since they fit specifically.

    Good, Bad, and Ugly

The good, bad, and the ugly What is good about these - The sound quality is on par for Bose. Pretty good for wireless sport headphones, but average for in-ear headphones. If you are looking for booming base, and shattering highs, look elsewhere - Very comfortable and secure. Your ears do not hurt at the end of a workout, and they stay in very well. The material is really soft, and they feel like they will fall out, but they didn't budge during a long run - You do not get full noise canceling, so it is safer when running on the street - Verbal heart rate is nice, and removes another device from hanging on your body during a workout. Accuracy when compared to other methods (chest, forearm) is consistent - The cord does not catch and make noise when you run, and you can use the attached clip on the back of the shirt if you really want to lock them down - Price is in line with other comparable manufacturers, but much cheaper than buying a wireless sport headphone and HRM - Works with all of the workout apps that I tested them with The bad - Set-up instructions is sparse, and their website link to detailed instructions is broken. If you have every used bluetooth headphones, then you should be able to figure it out quickly. The only part where you might need some help, is pairing the HRM to your workout tracking app The ugly - These stick way out from your ears. Think "Frankenstein" and his bolts in his neck. Forget about wearing a headband or beanie that covers your ears. If you just cover the tips/tops of your ears, then you will be fine, but lookout for when it gets cold Overall a four (4) star rating just because they are so ugly bolting out of your ears

Having wireless headphones has changed my workouts. I don't spend any time adjusting these and can focus on running or lifting. The sound quality on these are better than any other sport headphone I have owned. They're are loud enough and good bass. They stay in and are comfortable enough I barely notice they are in my ears. The clip on the back is a nice detail that keeps the wire from bouncing. One of the best improvements might be the controls on the wire. Skipping songs works incredibly well compared to any other headphone. The heart rate monitor proves very accurate compared to other heart rate equipment I have used. You do need to get the earbud in the exact correct spot for it to read when it starts up but after that it seems fine. The only caveat is how big these are. They do stick out of your ears more than other wireless buds. Personally, I'm not too focused on my looks when exercising. Being wireless you do have to get used to charging yet another device but that's non-specific to this product. Overall I would definitely recommend especially if you are switching from wired.

The earpiece fit is wonderful and comfortable (at least for my ears). The sounds is impressive for BT. The size, and weight are perfect. The battery life rocks. The connection was easy and the build quality ... It's BOSE! This is the set you need if your physical at all ( running, weight lifting, work outside) you need these ASAP

Very excited to try these Bose headphones because of the well-known Bose quality. I had a difficult time finding the charge plug, but after a locating and fully charging, they lasted a long time. Then I changed the ear piece to the smallest size of the three included and at first seemed awkward, but as I got used to them, they were comfortable. Bose always impresses me when it comes to the sound quality, and these earphones are top rate! I did not find them to be sound cancelling though, but I am fine with that when walking outside. Connecting to BlueTooth on iPhone was very easy through the step by step instructions in the Bose Connect app. They provide a heart rate too as you are working out. I used them for power walking and cleaning around the house. Not sure how they would be for harder exercising.

The sound pulse headphones are a must have for anyone that lifts weights and doesn't like a cord dangling in the way runners that don't like to have stings attached or anyone that doesn't like to be limited to cords attached. I love that i can have the freedom to move about without worrying about disruptions from my cord being pulled out all of a sudden. The design looks like it would be comfortable so i was hesitant at first but the earpiece is actually so comfortable you forget that its in your ear. I love the i don't have a big hook on my ear and i can move around freely as I please. The fit very well. The sound is great and better than I expected. One thing that I did notice not while I was running or at the gym but I was cleaning my house I popped these headphones in since I would be free to move about and I left my phone in one room and went to the bedroom and it was starting to breakup and get static so I don't know how far exactly that you can travel in between these without disrupting the connection. The Bluetooth was easy to use and pair with any device I was able to pair ti with my phone Ipod and my kindle without any issues. the battery life worked awesome the time that I used it and hour at the gym and last for a 2 hour movie just fine. Comfort is definitely a plus if you feel apprehensive about the design its super comfortable and no worries about that. One of the features That i dislike is the controls for the volume if you wear it behind the neck the cord is short which is a good thing but I dislike that you cant see it in order to what you are doing that is one downfall I don't like the that the controls a hard to reach. The heartbeat sensor is an awesome plus I don't know how accurate it is since I don't have anything to compare it to but you do have to download an app for this feature to work. Overall I would recommend these to a friend they are awesome quality headphones for almost anyone no matter what you need it to use.

The packaging and set up for the Soundsport Pulse earbuds is impressive. The instructions are easy to follow. The earbuds come with 3 different earpiece sizes. I am using the smallest size. The controls are great - in the perfect positions to easily find and operate, even when walking or exercising. There is a clip to attach to your clothing so you won't lose the earbuds when you take them out. The sound quality is really good. I connected to iHeart Radio and Google Music through my Android phone. The earbuds themselves are wonderful, so I was disappointed that the Bose Connect app did not work. I tried following their troubleshooting guide, but the app just kept saying it could not connect with the device, even though it was connected through Bluetooth and working. So, I was not able to view my heart rate (which is not a high priority, but would be an added benefit). The best feature for me is being wireless. It's nice not to deal with the cord between the phone and the earbuds. The charge time is significant (5+ hours). The earbud design is comfortable for long periods of listening.
