I have had several different wireless earphones and headphones over the last couple of years including Blueant Pump, Jaybird Bluebuds and PowerBeats to name a few, but these are overall my favorite. The sound quality is great, simple to pair and use and comfortable to wear. The only negative about these is they are very bulky. They protrude from my ears and are a bit of an eyesore to look at while wearing, but being that how they look is not as important as how they sound I still like the these the best. I also like that they track my heartbeat within the Apple Health app. If you don't have an iPhone (I think it works with Android also), then this feature may not be available. Overall, a quality set of headphones that remain comfortable even after long periods of use.

I have had the Bose SoundSport Pulse headphones for about 10 days now. I was anxious to find something that I can use not only for when I exercise but when I have to take calls while I am on the go or while I am working at my desk. To give you some background I am a female in my lower 50s and have recently began an exercise regimen. Finding really good sport headphones is a challenge but I knew Bose would not let me down. Packaging: It came with a small round soft zippered pouch that fits the headphones and the small charging cable easily. There is no cramming I just simply wind the headphones in my hand and it fits nicely. The Pouch has an inside mesh sleeve for the charging cable so there is not tangling at all. I was also able to fit the extra two sizes of ear adapters incase I needed another size. It seems to protect the headphones sufficiently when thrown into a purse or outside pocket of my laptop bag or gym bag. Fit: At first I had a hard time trying to fit it in my ears. It was not comfortable at all so I knew I was doing something wrong. After reviewing the instructions again I was able to find a way to twist them into my ear and have it positioned correctly. This was only on the first day, after that it was not a problem, just took a little getting use to. My daughter tried them one day and she had no problem so it may just be a generation thing! Use: Just what I expect from Bose, sound is really great and I have used them in many different settings. I had no problem with APP these work with. First thing I noticed is my heart rate being displayed on my phone. This is really nice to have although I am not sure I will be pulling out my phone every time I go running/walking to see my heart rate. I took them to the gym and got on the treadmill. They stayed in place walking and running, they were comfortable, almost like they are suctioned in my ears but without the pressure. I was worried that the size of the headphones was going to be heavy but they are not. The on and off button is easy to get to on the right earphone. What I really like that every time I turn them on it tells me the percentage of battery life it has, no more guessing! Battery life is about 6 hours give or take so that’s really good. I didn’t keep them on for 6 hours straight but had them on and off most of the day. I am able to turn up the volume with the controls, answer a call and hang up without a problem. The folks on the other end can hear me just fine. I have used them at my desk at work to listen to music, take calls in the car, while preparing dinner and now I just keep them around my neck and let them hang so if I get a call I can pop one ear bud in my ear. The cord is comfortable meaning not irritating. There is a clip on the cord that can attach to your collar behind your neck so it won’t slide off. I have long hair and the cord does not get tangled at all. Overall I really love these! I would recommend this product to my family and friends. Seems very durable and is of great quality.

Excellent sound - a little big

I'm a runner and have been looking for great wireless headphones. I tend to shy away spending a lot of $$ on them without being able to try them out for a run or two before buying. Getting the opportunity to test these was great. I really wanted headphones that didn't have a wire connecting the two earpieces. While these do have a wire - the sound quality is FANTASTIC. Seriously, Bose knows their sound and these hold up with the best of their products. In addition, they're comfy, don't slip or slide or even budge despite long runs (sometimes in temps over 90F). I wasn't - and till am not - of having to download yet another app. I mean, seriously?! However, after downloading and realizing that after connecting the headphones once to my phone, I no longer needed to use the app, I was mollified (the app has pretty graphics but I just don't see the necessity of yet another app). The wire in between the two buds allows for a control button, which I was a big fan of (that's why there is that wire, I guess!) As a runner with a HR monitor that feature was redundant - and I could only imagine how much battery it was draining from my phone. To be honest, I didn't even check to see if it correlated with my HR monitor. My caveat is the design. While I love the carrying case and the ease of wearing these - they're a little bulky for what they are. They stick out of my ears and I have long hair. I continually tended to knock the headphone out if I had to adjust my headband or my hair (a regular occurrence on 10mi + runs). I would love to see Bose make the earpieces a little smaller/have them stick out of my ear less. Overall, sound quality is fantastic (as was to be expected). I honestly do not thing the price bump for the HR is worth it, especially considering they stuck out of my ears so much. If I have to go back to running without fab sound quality and with lots of cables, I may just reevaluate though and get the wireless ones without an HR.

I got the Bose Sound sport Pulse Wireless headset in black and red. The packaging was kind of large for a pair of in-ear wireless headphones. Simple and had a large picture of one of the ear pieces. I can appreciate simple packaging. It folds open into the art on the flaps of the box which was nice and the headphones. The packaging talks about the Bose connect app that you can use to help connect your device to your phone. The app is super simple to use and comes in handy. The headphones come with a nice round Bose carrying case. Medium ear pieces attached to the headphones and a backup pair of small and large to switch out for just in case. Micro USB cord for charging paper and the regular documentation. I didn't charge the headset when I opened it. Connecting the headphones to my iPhone 7+ using the Bose connect app went well. They didn't connect on the first attempt but did on the second attempt. There's a button on right earpiece you use to term them on and triggers the Bluetooth for pairing. They app showed the battery life of 90%. The app started doing an update for the headphones, which stars 32 mins. Super long wait time for an update. Connecting the phone to wifi did not speed up the process. The headset dropped to 80% in less than five mins while waiting for the update and powered off. While waiting on the update I tried the headphones on and it triggered heart rate check. That was a surprise I didn't realize that was a feature for the headphones. There's also an option for an auto-off timer for the headphones so not to waste the battery. There's an off on option for voice prompting. The headphones are a little bulky on the ear part compared to their wired version. The cord on the headset is long enough to give u a little room to hand around your neck and not tug on your ears. The medium earpieces were a bit hard to put on and felt large. It took a bit of effort to get them in. On my wired version. I use a medium perfectly. The sound is crisp and clear. You are not an enveloped in the sound with in-ear but comparing to the wired Bose sound sport the bass is not as deep but just as crisp and clear. The base is noticeably muted. Even for non bass heavy songs. The hi’s and vocals have a lot of treble in them. I prefer more of an equal balance with my levels. At some points in the songs where the instrumentals were low the vocals were off compared to the wired Bose sound sports. They work well for instances when you don't want to be tied to a wire in your phone. For me they are not for long term wear. My ears felt like something heavy was sitting in them after a bit They began to throb a tad. I could see someone using these just for the gym but wont be immersed into the music, too much leakage.

This is the second time I've purchased these headphones for my girlfriend. They work great for 2-3 weeks then battery drains from 100% to zero in under an hour. Tried all hard reset fixes, etc. Bose offers to send new pair, which take 2-3 weeks. Save your money; these headphones are a joke.

First off, the headphones take like ten minutes to take your pulse, and when they finally have, your hr has dropped. Then after about a month of using them, the sound stopped functioning. I had to call bose and get an exchange almost two weeks ago and still havent recieved the returns box or the new pair in the mail yet. VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I NEED THEM FOR RUNNING!!! Get it together, BOSE!

I haven't been to impressed with some of the wireless headphones out there, but the Bose SoundSport Pulse, sound great, easy to set up (at times). Connecting to my phone was easier than connecting to my tablet, They are a bit bulky and I have never been a fan of buds or just having things in my ears period, but these are by far some of the most comfortable wireless headphone I have experienced. Bose did an all around good job, with the exception of the battery life and the Bose connect app. Battery life is only 5 hours, 6 at the most. The Bose connect app gives an apology for the requirement to have the GPS (location) on in order to work properly. But overall great headphones

This product first caught my eye because it was first made by BOSE which I know has good quality speakers and sound. Also because they are supposed to cut outside noise to a minimum. Some expectations I had for these headphones were to be able to hold a phone conversation while using them and not have the sound or microphone cut out. I also wanted them to stay put while I was exercising, and doing daily activities. These headphones were so awesome, I had no issues talking to people on them. It made doing housework so much easier being able to use my hands and not have to hold the phone in them. I also use them while I am doing my homework. They are the best at cutting down outside noise. The design of the headphones is also really nice. You have the option of different size ear inserts, so if the original set doesn't fit there is a smaller size. Also they are really easy to change if you need it. However, I didn't need to switch it around. I like having the little clip too, it gives that little extra security for them to stay on you in case you catch the cord. They feel great too! I always have had issues with the ear pieces hurting my ears, but with these my ears don't hurt and I hardly notice them. When it comes to connecting these, it was one of the easiest bluetooth setups I have dealt with. It took me a matter of minutes to get my phone and my laptop to connected. And I can switch between them without having the headphones go haywire. I am really impressed with this product!! I will definitely be recommending them to my family, and possibly purchasing some for my husband who works out all the time!

    Great Wireless Headphones

I have been searching for a nice wireless headphone set for a while. Bose has a reputation which exceeds the consumer expectation and this set of headphones definitely does not disappoint. The Bose Connect app, which was easy to download and connect to the headphones, never lost connection, even when I walked away from my device. With the app, I was able to use my headphones on all my devices, which I found extremely convenient. The connectivity was easy and hassle free. You just turn on the headphones by holding the on/off button and the app connects. It's that simple. The earbud is comfortable, light weight and form fitting. The clip to keep them in place is small and easy to attach. I walk in the mornings and found these headphones remained comfortable after wearing them for a long period of time. I am not a runner, so I cannot comment on their ability to stay in place with more movement, however, I didn't have an issue with them staying put while I was out and about. The sound quality is what you would expect with a Bose product, outstanding. It's crisp. It's clear. It allows you to enjoy your music, but doesn't completely cut you off from your surroundings, which is important if you don't want to be caught off guard by something, as it does not appear to be a complete noise cancelling headphone. The headphones have a heart rate monitor, which I found a little strange at first. I don't normally associate listening to music with monitoring my heart rate, but for someone who's athletic and using these solely for that purpose may find that a more useful tool. I have a separate athletic device for that, but if you're looking to cut down on the amount of devices you have to rely on while working out, I guess this would be a benefit. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a nice comfortable pair of wireless headphones.

hands down my new favorite headphones!!!! these headphones are great! i love how easy they are to use. they connect to any device through its own app then you wont have to connect them over and over again. it even displays the battery life on the connected device! i was really surprised on how comfortable and durable these are. they actually fit and stay in your ear during a run or intense work out, and i really put them to the test with all ranges of motion. they come with not one, but two extra fittings so they adjust to any size ear easily. the sound quality is amazing with all genres of music and even phone calls in a loud surrounding. the sound never cracks or ruffles during that heavy base music too. the only reason i gave these a 4/5 stars rating is the noise cancellation- they don't get loud enough to cancel out the loud gym in the background. i guess it can be considered a safety feature since they really make you zone out on your music, that way you can hear someone yelling at you or honking at you if you were outside near traffic. however, i prefer to cancel out all noises but my music. they charge up fast and the battery life is very strong. they will even verbally alert you when they need to be charged while you're wearing them, like siri on an iphone. I will never turn back to overhead or wired headphones again. Overall thought- VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT.

    Comfortable premium active lifestyle buds

I've been using the SoundSport Pulse buds for three weeks now...and the performance is exactly what I expected from Bose...full and rich, with that signature mid range clarity they are known for. I love the quality of the rubberized cabling and the sealed volume rocker/playback control. Works easily, even with gloves on. I really apprecaited the attention to detail in rubberizing the cable for duarabilty and providing a clip to keep cord microphonics (a pet peeve of mine) to the barest minimum. The APP works without fuss (sadly a rarity it seems in the consumer electronics space) and provides pulse feedback very accuarately. (There's another brand name gizmo on my wrist...and the two were exactly the same 99% of the time.) I've worn them everywhere from working in the yard, to walking on a treadmill and even, in a pinch, on a short flight the other day when I left the QC's at home by mistake. The sound qulaity is exactly what you would expect from Bose and once you get the proper size tips installed... these are very comfortable to wear, seal well and stay in better than any other buds I've used in active situations...even when the sweat starts flowing. My only suggested improvement...for the size of the buds, I thought the battery life would be a bit longer..I woud think there would be space for a good size battery in buds that large...but with relatively quick charging time, its not really a giant hassle...and the sound and build quality outweighs that little inconvenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for active lifestyle buds with premium sound.

So far I have never been disappointed with any BOSE product I have owned. I have the wireless Beats but the BOSE sound much better. The packaging was very solid and very BOSE. Although I enjoy quality packaging I am beginning to think it's such a waste and would be okay with my product in a ziploc baggy. I don't think I have read any directions or manuals in eons and I almost hardly ever register anything. Plus with my phone near I can always Google if I have a question or concern. Well onto the headphones. They come with a case, charging cable and two other sizes of sport tips. They are a tad offset with the weight coming off the ear quite a bit, not a major concern just odd at first. My Powerbeats have the nice hook around the ear to keep them in place during strenuous exercise whereas the BOSE just lock inside the ear lobe. This was a problem for me on day one but I beat em up and ran them through the ringer. I was helping my Dad cut down a 55' mesquite tree and wore these all day off and on so I could have some tunes to drown out the chainsaws. I did a lot of climbing around up in the tree with a chainsaw and rope work while sweating like a pig. I was constantly re-fitting the headphones into my ear. I believe it was a combination of the sweat and the strenuous work. But the sound and control functions were great. Day two was not as difficult labor and then I also used them during my 55 minute workout (high impact callisthenics). No issues on either occasion here. Calls are super crisp and gaming has no lag. I have a maybe one second delay on my Beats and do not get that with these BOSE headphones. I removed a star for mainly the style, just how far they stick out is odd. I know there is a lot jammed in there but maybe get some of it into the cable somehow? Also the sound is not your typical BOSE, don't get me wrong they are better than most wireless buds I have tried but I think making them tough for sports and waterproofing caused them to be a little more muffled. I still enjoy them and will be sure to use them anytime I need a tough set of wireless buds.

As with all Bose products I've tried, these earbuds have excellent sound. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but any time I use these I enjoy the clarity and range not found in other headphones. The bluetooth works great, connects fast, and the range is much better than less expensive bluetooth headphones I've used. I have used some earbuds in the pat that lose connection with my phone in my back pocket, but these have no problem keeping a strong static free connection. The earbuds are comfortable, but take some getting used to. The tips do not sit as far down into the ear as the earbuds I'm used to, so they felt strange at first as I kept trying to shove them deeper in my ear and they felt uncomfortable. Once I figured out they sit shallower in the ear than other earbuds, I realized they are very comfortable. They also stay in place when exercising. I'm not much of a runner, but during biking and elliptical workouts, I had no issues with them slipping out. These are not the perfect earbuds however, the shallow ear fit means they do not block as much outside noise as earbuds that sit deeper and completely seal the ear. This may be beneficial for runners, but for me, the outside noise is distracting. I wouldn't wear these cutting grass or on a plane as the ambient noise would be too loud. The heart rate monitoring works well, but the Bose Connect app only shows your heart rate if you have the app open and on your actual screen. Any time you switch apps and switch back, the Bose Connect app has to read you heartrate. In other words, there is no continuous background heartrate tracking with the base Bose Connect app. However, a slew of 3rd party apps are available, and the one I tried maintained a continuous heart rate read, and the tracking did work. Overall I would recommend these to anyone looking for high quality wireless earbuds for exercise or any other activity that doesn't require high levels of outside noise. If you need heart rate tracking as well and don't want to wear a separate heart rate tracker, then these are for you.

I have been pleased with the Bose products that I own so far and the Soundsport Pulse headphones did not disappoint. The sound is clear with music and phone calls. The headphones come with three different sized earbuds, which was definitely helpful since I am not the only one using them. The headphones also come with a soft, compact case, which the headphones fit nicely in. I like to use mine when doing chores around the house or when I go out for a walk. The headphones come with a clip and they stayed on well. The earbuds are not too bulky and since it has the heart rate monitor, they can't be too small. I used the heart monitor a few times and didn't have an issue with them. It seemed to work properly. I also like the clarity of the conversations I had when on a phone call. No one ever commented that they couldn't hear me. It came with some instructions but not a lot of details on its operation. The battery life could be improved to last longer since I usually had to charge them after about 5 hours of use. Overall, it's a good set of wireless headphones and the Bose quality of sound definitely comes through with this product.
