    Best fitting headphones ever:).

    My battery charge life was down to 60% for a few weeks. I finally called Bose & the customer service woman helped me figure out that the battery life through plugging it in a few outlets was messed up & so she said to send them back to Bose & I could get a new pair free of charge! She even asked me what color I would like? I've never heard of that before? Bose Rocks!!

    Crackling sound, static (left) and connection loss

    What a shame ... Bose finally managed to screw up its reputation of being the best in the world to releasing a product that is worthless. I loved Bose products - QC 20 and now QC35 which I treasure. But this Soundsport is a disaster. In the first jog on a treadmill, within 30 minutes, I heard static on the left ear and then crackling sound and finally it stopped. I could not connect to the phone or whatever. After 20 minutes, I was able to restart it and again the same problem within 10 minutes. I went to Best Buy and exchanged for another unit. While speaking on the phone for about 10 minutes, it started crackling and dropped the blue tooth connection. The battery at 20% went dead within 2 minutes of talk time. I am now going to return and try a third unit tomorrow since the sound is awesome. Hope Bose will listen, and make drastic improvements. Hope the new one will not have the same two faulty errors. Maybe it is heating up and hence the errors or some software error. Whatever-- Bose technical staff, work out a solution fast !!

      We found that SoundSport doesn't perform like it should under specific conditions related to more extreme levels of sweat and moisture. And we now have a solution to make it work just as well for those customers, too. Going forward, every SoundSport wireless headphone will include this update, and they'll be ready by the end of August. Since you've had this issue, you're our priority. A new SoundSport wireless will be reserved for you, and sent free of charge.

    My Need: Bluetooth, in-ear headset with good mic (talk while running). #CHECKMARK Sound: Excellent. Rich bass and great mids. #CHECKMARK BIG Problem: I've now had to replace 2 pairs because of a "static sound" that would NOT turn off. Thereafter, the headset would continue to "crackle" until it completely died...and would no longer hold a charge. I've now recommended it to 2 people, both whom seem to really enjoy it. But somehow, I've not had as much luck. This is my 3 version of Bose headsets but first bluetooth model....

    The sound on these unit is great, although I wish the volume would go higher. I take these to the gym and they hold up very well. The battery has never given me 6 hours on a charge, not even close. It also only charges to 90%. I’ve had these for less than a year and I probably wouldn’t buy them again.

      It certainly is concerning to hear about your battery not fully charging. We would first recommend a power reset of your headset:

      1. Plug the headset into a USB power supply via USB cord and wait 5 seconds. This can be the USB power supply from your phone.
      2. Unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute.
      3. Reconnect the power cable and charge. You should see a slowly blinking amber light.
      4. When the LED turns green, please keep the headset on the charger for another 30 minutes to ensure the battery reaches 100%.

    Great for music - terrible for talking on phone

    The Good: Absolutely great sound quality and very decent battery life at about 8 hours. Normally I can drive 2 full days before needing a charge. The Bad: The microphone is way too sensitive. The people I talk to can hear everything around me, and if the mic scrapes against my shirt, they tell me it sounds like I am “chewing gravel.” I have done the firmware update and it is no help. Being that I am using my headset for business, this is unacceptable. I later looked up the sensitive mic issue online and saw many complaints. It is hard to believe that Bose has not addressed this, especially for a $150 price. I will never buy another Bose headset.

    We have always loved the Bose products & received a pair of these for Christmas from my kids. They sounded great & the fit was perfect for 3 uses. On the second day I owned them, they would not turn on at all. It was exactly as described in other posts on Bose Support site. I tried the reboot suggested by Bose Techs to no avail & regretaby had to return them. I am now torn between trying another pair in hopes that they work long term or trying other highly recommended brands. Guess it's a gamble either way.

    Failed on the first try!

    I owned the wireless yurbuds for over a year before they failed on me. I decided to upgrade to the wireless Bose. The sound was amazing, much better than the yurbuds and turned on/responded much faster. I had no problem with with comfort and never worried about them slipping out of my ears. 30 minutes into a run, I began to hear static in the left speaker. After my run, I turned off the earbuds and could not get them to turn back on. The LED light flashes yellow that it is still charging no matter how long I charge them for. Returning them tomorrow to give it another chance. Very let down in the quality. They do not seem to last. These Bose earbuds do not seem to be made for running or working out.

    Static Sound

    I read the reviews before buying and felt that the good outweighs the bad. That is until I fell into the bad spectrum from my purchase. The sound quality was very good until after about 10 mins of use and I would hear static. The sound gets distorted from too much static. I will turn off the headphone to see if it would correct itself and it was the same thing after a little bit of use. Mind you I only bought this one day ago and just used it today. I have not lost hope though. I will return it back today to be replaced by another one and hope for the best on the second set. I will update this review if the replacement set is better. Bummer of a birthday present.

    Poor sound and quality- Do Not Buy

    I’m owned several Boise products;however, I feel Boise dropped the ball on this. First, the second quality is subpar compared to other Bluetooth headsets at this price point. If you are an audiophile and need clarity and volume, this is not the product for you. Finally, there are known issues with the battery not maintaining its charge. Fortunately, I had Best Buy’s protect as I returned this product 4 times. Eventually, I traded these in for some Apple Airpods and immediately noticed a substantial difference in sound quality and the overall product. (FYI- I’m not one to toute Apple just because it’s Apple). If you must purchase these due to comfort with the Boise brand make sure you purchase Best Buy’s replacement plan. It’s worth every penny and you’ll need it with this product.

    I was super excited that Bose came out with a wireless version of their SoundSport headphones. I've long been a fan of the wired version. The first few days, everything seemed fine. I went on a couple of short runs, used them at work during the days. Everything was great. Then I went on a longer run: 10 miles. Between 9 and 10 miles, the left ear piece started crackling. I thought maybe it would go away once I got them home and they had a chance to dry and recharge. However, after recharging they would not turn on. So, I exchanged them on Sunday for a new pair. On Monday, I went for an 8 mile run. They worked perfectly the entire time, so I thought I was in the clear. However, a few minutes later, I heard a crackling sound from the kitchen counter and realized they were doing the same thing. This time, they will charge / turn on, but the crackling is constant even after I turn them off. Needless to say, I'll be returning them and won't be trying again. Bose clearly has some major quality control and/or design issues to work out. I look forward to trying again once they get it figured out.

    I read several reviews before my purchase and had higher hopes for the phones. I picked up a set of JBL reflect mini's for about 1/3 the price and I have to say they are about 90% as good as the Bose. So after trying the sound sports at home I just couldn't justify keeping them at the price point.
