Over Priced for what you get

Tried multiple wireless speakers in this same price range and found intermittent Bluetooth disconnect, also was not impressed with bass sound results from this, rather found Sony srx55 as much better option and cheaper as well.

Just to clarify, it does need to be connected to power at all times, and it does not have a built-in rechargeable battery. The speaker can connect to your home network using the built-in wireless networking interface. If you're interested in portable Bluetooth speakers, we recommend that you check our current SoundLink speakers!

You are correct, this speaker requires to be plugged in to be powered, but it is a wireless system in the sense that it is a WIFI speaker which does not need to be connected to a source to broadcast music.
