Overrated/ Disappointed in Audio Output
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a quality speaker, buy the Sonos Play1. It is the same price as the Bose Soundtouch 10, but puts out a much more well-rounded quality of sound. I was most disappointed in the Bose Soundtouch 10 when listening to tracks with heavy bass. The Bose sounds like a typical small speaker and falls short where its competition, the Play1, excels in performance. I returned the Bose and exchanged it for the Sonos. Much happier now!

A real steal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality and workmanship of Bose's products is common knowledge. With the launch of this product they have made it easily affordable as well. I bought this as a gift and got more than the reaction I was expecting. Great buy and a 'real steal'.

Great sound system.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was impressed with the unit, simple set up, awesome sound, so HAPPY with the app, right price and everything until I pulled the power cord. No RECHARGEABLE batteries, big disappointment, so needless to say I had to return it. Why no batteries on it?

Bose ST 10
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose did it right with this product. Purchased one and will be purchasing another to add all around the house along with the Bose ST 120. This family of products works excellent together. No more music being interrupted by phone calls or texts. This particular Bose ST 10 sounds amazing for it's size. No need for it to have batteries at this is meant to stay in place in a room in you home. Thanks Bose and thank you Best Buy for ease of purchase (in stock pick-up)

Good for small rooms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m coming from a beats pill and the sound does sound great but not much bass and is only a tad bit louder than beats pill 2.0 . Still love Bose tho, maybe I’m just use to very loud speakers

I wish I hadn't bought it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker for myself at Christmas time in 2017 and it has been a big disappointment. It's the only Bose product I've ever been disappointed with. My house is 2 levels and I have a cheaper 808 Hex TL Bluetooth speaker upstairs that I use. I bought the SoundTouch 10 to leave downstairs and play outside, thinking it was an upgrade from the $70 speaker I currently use. My chief complaints are: 1 The speaker doesn't remain on even though it's plugged in and not running on a battery. So to use it, I have to first turn it on and then it goes through 5 or 6 minutes of the lights flashing across the front. I guess it's warming up? Haven't figured out what it's doing there. Sometimes I have to press the power button 2 or 3 times to get it on. When the lights eventually stop, I have to press the Bluetooth button, wait for the light to turn blue, then go to the settings on my iPod, find the Bluetooth devices and manually connect. The whole process takes at least 7 minutes, which is wasted time. It can often take a couple of minutes to actually connect. Conversely, my cheap Bluetooth speaker upstairs also turns off because it runs on rechargeable batteries. If I have it plugged in, it stays on but if it's on battery, it turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity. But once I turn it on, it immediately connects with my iPod and starts playing. The whole process is 5 seconds compared to several minutes to actually play music through the Bose speaker. 2. Every couple of weeks, it won't connect at all with the iPod. I'll spend 20 minutes or more trying to connect only to get a message that the speaker isn't on or isn't in range, though the iPod is right beside it. I have to forget the device from my iPod, turn off Bluetooth and then go through the pairing process again. My iPod is connected to 5 other Bluetooth devices but the SoundTouch is the only one that requires constant re-pairing to work. 3. I downloaded the SoundTouch app to my HP Pavilion app so I can play music or podcasts directly from iTunes on my laptop but the app doesn't work. When I launch it, I first get a message that the display driver has stopped working but recovered itself. Then the app screen just stays white, with a "not responding" message. I've even left it for a few hours, thinking maybe it just takes a very long time to launch but it never responds. I've tried to repair it using the repair function in the app executable file. I've uninstalled and re-installed. I've even trashed the download altogether and re-downloaded it. It has never worked. When I run the Windows troubleshooter, it says the app is not compatible with Windows 8, though the Bose site says it's compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. So I paid $214 for a speaker than can only play music by Bluetooth from an iPod. I literally only get about an hour or 2 of play from it a month because I don't often want to invest the 7-10 minutes it takes to get it started. Instead, I get the speaker from upstairs and have music playing in seconds or I use the home theater system that's connected to my TV downstairs. It takes about the same amount of time to power it up and the TV, and then move through the settings to play audio I really regret buying this speaker because it doesn't do what I was looking to do. The only GOOD thing about my purchase is that I intended to buy all the SoundTouch speakers and put them all over the house, since they could be paired together. Then I could play music and hear it regardless of which room I was in. I'm SOOOO happy that I didn't invest several hundred dollars buying the SoundTouch 20 and 30 speakers before I thoroughly tested out this one. I could have bought 3 more of the Hex speakers for what I paid for this one.

4 years of bad experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have battled with these speakers for over 4 years now. I really don't use them often but every time I do I need to reconnect at least one if not both of them. After spending 2 hours trying to connect them only one will connect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and reset the speakers multiple times. Nothing seems to work. The quality of sound when they work is pretty good, but not really what I would expect from Bose. The connection is always lagging behind so they do not work well for watching video. I guess it is time to move on and look for another set of speakers for my living room. I just know they will not be from Bose.

Great Speaker But No Apple Music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Love this speaker, I love how BOSE lets you preset all of your stations, I love the fact it comes with a remote so you don't need your phone. The only problem is It don't support APPLE MUSIC, because of this I'm thinking about return this and getting the SONOs speaker. I hate to return the speaker but I use mostly use APPLE MUSIC more than any other streaming services

Great Bose sound, small unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 4 Soundtouch devices and love being able to fill my different zones with the same (or different) music. I have compared to the unnamed competition and Bose is by far superior in sound and being able to use external music sources. Their App could be improved though. I have 2 of these Sountouch 10 units and they yield amazing sound and are great complements to the Soundtouch system. No regrets!

Weak bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds good until bass kicks in. Was looking for a Bluetooth wireless compatible speaker and went on Bose reputation. This speaker has an audio jack that most do not so I can still plug in my old MP3 player to get music I paid for years ago and have no other way to access. However, when I played Imagine Dragons the bass was so weak it was pitiful. Returning this and getting a Sonos.

Nice sound not so great features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this until because the sound quality stood out and it was supposed to integrate with popular online music services. Problem is it doesn't integrate with Amazon or Google Music so if you use those services for your music you are forced to use this unit like a dumb bluetooth player. Sure, the sound is nice but the stored channels and music service integration is not there. Wish i would have read the fine print before buying this unit. Would have gone with something else. If you use Spotify you're fine otherwise id recommend looking elsewhere. It seems that Bose and Google have no plans to integrate anytime soon.
