Although this product is small and can fit almost anywhere in your home, it wasn't necessarily engineered to be an "on-the-go" speaker like our SoundLink Bluetooth speakers. Therefore, it does not have a rechargeable battery built-in. I had the speaker up in running in minutes literally. The remote is super convenient and the Bose app makes it easy to control the speaker and utilize internet radio apps and stations. Only complaint is the responsiveness and connectivity sometimes lag, maybe due to internet service fluctuations.

It wasn't like turning on a radio and twirling a dial. You have to go through a set up routine. However it was a lot easier than a Sonos speaker that I bought that I couldn't figure out and had to return. The sound is very good and interface works well once it's set up.
