I was looking for some new ear buds with good sound and good fit. These Bose exceed my expectation. The sound is great and the fit is excellent. I can wear them for hours very easI'll unlike some of my old pair that would fall out or the sound had no bass. Happy Listening !!!!

This is my second pair of Bose in-ear headphones, both of which are compatible with my Samsung phone. I am very pleased. The in-line phone controls are easy to use. Compared to other in-ear headphones I have tried, these are by far the most comfortable to wear---they stay firmly in place when I am running or biking. I am pleased with the amount of bass given the fact they are ear buds and not over the ear headphones. The high end sound is very clear. Highly recommend.

I don't know if the drivers are simply too weak, or if the intention of delivering the clearest sound possible forced Bose to artificially lower the output level or if maybe they purposely intended to reduce sound leakage . What I do know is that these earbuds while sounding exceptionally clear and crisp with good mids and highs, are severely underpowered. I have to keep my phone at full volume when I listen to music just to get to a decent sound level which is really inconvenient since unplugging them leaves my ringer on at full volume (you can imagine someone calling you in a class with your ringer on full volume). I know it isn't a problem with my phone because the cheap apple earpods that I used to have would put out sound equivalent if not greater to the ones Bose puts out at 50% of what I have to have the Bose's at. Bottom line. I would suggest looking at other brands maybe Shure, JBL, Audio Technica, or even Beats as bad as they are probably sound louder than these. Now don't get me wrong the sound QUALITY of these is really good, one of the best I've heard. It's just the volume that I have a problem with. But hey, if you aren't into blasting music, and simply want a pair of good sounding earbuds that aren't too loud these are a good choice!

The biggest difference here is the noise isolation, accomplished through modified earbuds. Many have commented that these tips can be used with other Bose. Bose denies, but having personally tried this, I agree with Bose. Apparently, they made tweaks to make them sound better, but though I'm particular about sound, I didn't really notice. These are the smallest ear buds Bose currently makes, which somewhat adds to comfort, but the ear tips are less comfortable than the standard ones. That said, I can wear them on average 3 hours just fine. (With the standard ones, I can basically listen all day.) One "fun" fact is that IMO these sound better than most any earbuds I've used for movies...which usually do not sound great with earbuds. My one complaint is the Android/Samsung controls. I have a Galaxy (Super cheap budget model,) but it only seems to work with some, not all, music apps. It's also frustrating sometimes when I change from one to another. The noise isolation level is good, but not great. That said for me personally, either of the Bose ear tips stay in better than most buds I've used. I'm happy with them overall, particularly since I price matched them at about $35 cheaper.

I have a few pair of Bose and these are great for working out at the gym. They block most of the noise and sound super! They are light weight and comfortable.

Hi All. Hope this helps everyone out here.. My effort to get a good pair of decent earbuds ended after purchasing this piece of marvel.. Previously i got Beats Urbeats and then Power beats. Powerbeats lacked the bass i was looking and urbeats lacked the music clarity.Though urbeats has decent bass but after wearing for an hour in gym/running i felt uncomfortable. .Slight headache..Returned both of them. Then got the noise cancellation QC20 earbuds.Amazing stuff..Highly recommended if you can afford $$ . For me it was too much to spend for something specific for workouts..Returned it, but will purchase those Headphones since they are worth it. Now coming to Bose sound true ultra, i had to give a try. I was amazed at the noise cancelling feature of it, though its not an ideal Noise cancelling device like bose qc it does Isolate noise pretty decent. It isolates surrounding noise and you wont hear much to bother. People complain the wires on rub give disturbing sound to your music.Well thats not quite true.Wire has a clip to tuck it to your cloth and it wont bother anymore. ..Next it fits your ear very well..it wont fall off if you run workout jog or get into a fight, just kidding. its great..you get 2 sizes as it fits your ear..Sound clarity is the best what i was looking for..Decent sound you hear low and high notes clearly..Bass is relatively less but at highest volumes you get the bass feel..The best part is that its highest volume isn't like other devices.it wont go as high that blast your eardrums. It quite decent to give you a good sound effect and bass feel too..So overrall its the best device you can get at this price..Go for it!!!

I've had other Bose earphones but these are the first that block out noise so fit is important.I found they sound good and are very comfortable. But the cord noise is terrible (in spite of what Bose says). Also if you want your music loud these aren't the earbuds for you, personally I find that to be a plus because I don't need to damage my hearing any further. I use them until the cord noise get to me then I switch to something else.

Thanks for reaching out for clarification. This model is not one that has noise reduction technology built into it. For that, we would recommend the QuietComfort 20 headphones.
We do share concerns about the cord and would like to learn more about this. These headphones have been the best investment I've ever made. They are a little pricey but ones you put them on and listen to them you can't go back to cheap headphones. Sound quality is exceptional.

The sound quality is good . I would have liked a little more depth to the sound. As far as the fit I have to work them a bit to get them to fit .I could use a in between size. Like the controls have no complaints about the mic. They do not completely isolate outside noise. Good bass and highs .

Great quality sound, you can expect the typical Bose level of listening. Fits comfortably in the ear and the flare helps keep extra sound out. The only downside may be if you're in between the 3 earsize options.....but there are THREE EARSIZE OPTIONS so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

The sound on these is great. Crystal clear. I listen to everything from classical guitar to death metal. These deliver. I wear these for long periods on long haul flights to Asia and they are more comfortable than traditional in ear headphones. The noise isolation is pretty good as well, especially for a passive system. Definitely recommend

I realize Bose is known for pricey products, which often seem unjustified. I also realize I opened my wallet and chose this model. That said, these earphones aren't worth the $100+ price tag. The fit and finish is mediocre and without a hint of premium materials. The mic is decent but based on feedback from phone calls, it doesn't seem to operate any more efficiently than the mic that comes with the cheap, stock Galaxy ear buds. These are not in-ear headphones. Not by any stretch. I've owned many pairs of in-ear from Shure, Westone, and Ultimate Ear. These are not designed to enter the canal and seal. They form a seal at the edge of the ear canal at best. Consider them ear buds plus, but not in-ear. In-ear models should come with a wide assortment of ear tips to ensure you achieve a good seal. These come with three sizes of the same awkwardly designed proprietary tip. Your mileage will vary but of the three, none of the them provided me with a perfect fit, which is what you should be able to achieve with a proper in-ear. They do sound good and it's nice to have some decent headphones that I can also take calls with. The separation of sound frequencies is decent. The highs are crisp, not tinny or screechy, and the mids punch nicely. They get a little bassy as the volume goes up but it's not boomy or distorted. Overall I'm happy with the sound quality with music and during phone calls. This has been mentioned often and I'll reiterate, they barely get loud enough to overcome loud, ambient noise. In-ears with a proper seal should be able to drown out a jet with the right music. Summary: Non premium finish, probably a cheap mic, good sound, but funky ear tips and NOT in-ear as advertised. Wait for sub-$100 sale.

The Bose - SoundTrue Ultra In-Ear Headphone are great! They have a great sound and block out noise really well. I would have given them a five star rating if it wasn't for the fact that every time you touch or move the wires you hear it in the earphones. I had read in other reviews about this but I get use to hearing it. If you exercise with them I can see where it would really be annoying but I only watch videos or listen to my music with them.

These earphones were a good investment. There are 3 different sized tips in the box to adjust for ears of all sizes. The sound is great and picks up bass very well. Little to no sound is heard with these on and they didn't hurt my ears after keeping them in for about 3 hours while doing homework.

Wow the clarity emanating from the speakers of these tiny yet powerful earbuds is amazing! You can really get a sense of the instruments used when listening to live music. Sounds you couldn't discern before now come to life. I would prefer them to be a little bit louder.

I am so glad that I purchased these headphones! They have amazing quality, great build, and works perfectly with my Nexus 6 (any Android really). They were a little quiet at first, but I adjusted really fast, and the noise reduction helped too. It's good that they won't damage my ears.
