    Not Bose's best product

Not Bose's best product. It's a bit glitchy, but that may be my iPhone. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to turn on and find my device. No way to switch devices without going into the app and no volume control. They're comfortable and the audio quality is great. You can't use left bud only, right bud must be on, but that's not different from the SoundSport Free. Much smaller profile and lighter so more comfortable.

Hey Takawaka, I am so glad that you love the smaller design and awesome sound quality from your headphones. With the slow Bluetooth pairing, is this just with the iPhone or all devices? If it is just with the one phone, it may be that phone. To test this out, try on multiple devices, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

These have the build and sound quality associated with the Bose name, with features that allow for use while exercising. They stay securely in place in the ear, without needing an ear hook. The earpieces fit snugly at the opening of the ear canal, while the side tucks into curves of the inner cup of the ear. It doesn't shift once it's in place until you're ready to remove it. It remains comfortable throughout the day, with soft silicone rather than hard plastic surfaces, yet doesn't move, enabling the wearer to exercise without worrying the earbuds will fall out while in motion. They don't have noise cancellation, but that's not expected if you'll need to be aware of surroundings when exercising outdoors, although they blocked out some of the sound because of the way they fit. Another feature that goes along with this is that they can withstand exposure to sweat and rain, rated IPX4. They are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water (not the case either) but should hold up to a regular workout in or outside, and during regular daytime activities. There are no buttons, but they have what is called capacitive touch interface on the outside surface of each earbud, so you can double tap on the right one to pause what is playing or answer a call, or tap and hold to skip a call. The left one can be programmed through the app. The Bose Music app, available through Google Play for Android devices (also compatible with Apple), guides through setup including connecting (although I had already connected through the phone, and didn't need the assistance) and connecting to the music apps used on the phone, like Spotify and Prime music. In settings, you can select the option for the left earbud; the default is for battery life, but I chose another option to fit my preference. There isn't a lot to the app, as the earbuds automatically begin to connect to the device when the storage case is open after the initial set up. They have about five hours of battery life and can be charged twice more in the case, or a quick charge that will give you two hours of use. The case holds its charge well, and didn't need to be charged right away, and still had more than half their charge after two days. When the right one is removed, it automatically pauses, no need to push a button on the phone. That's new for me, and convenient. You can't listen to just the left one. Most earbuds are like this, from less expensive to more expensive, and it's frustrating to me. I'd like to listen to one, then switch it out for the other fully charged one, so it will last me all day, allowing me to go from one activity to the next and only switch once. I don't know why most earbuds are right side dominant like this. I know a lot of people who wear one earbud or other bluetooth device for long periods, and this is an inconvenience that most devices, including this one, don't address. Because I haven't found a pair that lets me do that, I'm not holding it against these, but pointing it out for users new to products like this. You'll either wear both or just the right. The best use would be if you intend to use them as a set. When using as a pair, the sound is incredible, just what I expected and better than any previous set of earbuds I've used before. It still sounds really good with just the right, but you miss out on the full experience. Apparently the technology in these automatically adjusts bass, treble, and midrange for the user, providing what the manufacturer calls lifelike sound. This enhances the listening experience, regardless of whether you're listening to music, an audiobook or other recording, or a phone call. The microphones are supposed to be able to focus on your voice during a call, while minimizing background noises. When I made or received calls, they were very clear, and the people I spoke to commented on how clearer I sounded than with my usual bluetooth earpiece. The built-in antennas also allow you to move away from your phone without losing any sound quality, which is especially important on calls, to be able to move around without static or fading out. I definitely recommend these earbuds, for use during all sorts of activities, especially those where you need them to stay securely in place for the duration.

The Bose Sport Earbuds are as advertised. Great! Phone call clarity is awesome even if you're in an airport where there are lots of background noises. The sound quality is excellent whether you're listening to music or a podcast. Great product.

The connection is often shotty even when within a foot of the headphones. There's an awkward delay from when a video starts to when the sound starts. For some reason bixby opens from a tap of the right headphone with no way to change that. The left doesn't work without the right headphone active. The case battery is terrible.
