Bose, as always, delivers a great product with great sound. Very easy to pair and easy to use. The touch controls are just perfect and the quality of sound to hear and speak while on a phone call is great.

Ear loop was a little uncomfortable. The sound was ok but there is no volume adjustment on the earbuds or app to adjust the bass or sound.

    Great earbuds with some limitations

I love earbuds! I have about a dozen I’ve used in the recent past, most of them now sitting unused in my closet. I have around-the-neck buds, sports-oriented buds, buds with ANC, those without ANC, 5-hour buds, 10+hour buds, with a handful of them being truly wireless models. While they all have different levels of sound quality, my go-to buds are always those that feel best in my ears. A recently obtained pair had outstanding sound and long-lived batteries, yet discomfort was ever-present after just 20 minutes of use. Speaking for myself only, I can say that Bose’s ear tips have always been my favorites. In fact, Bose buds I purchased years ago are still my preferred choice. They set the standard for comfort. Enter the new Bose Sports Earbuds. These new earbuds are super comfortable. I’m using the medium tips and they feel wonderful and the sound is excellent! With other manufacturer products, I typically would end up going to a smaller ear tip to get a comfortable fit; however, the sound was always tinny, fidelity was lost, and the bass was almost non-existent. Regarding sound, Bose uses what they call “Volume-optimized Active EQ” to provide some big sound to these small buds. I tried turning up the sound to maximum, just to see what would happen, and it was way too loud for comfort. And yet, I sensed no distortion at all. To keep the buds from falling from your ears, Bose has what they call “StayHear” construction with their ear tips – which are made from silicone - that stay in place no matter how much jostling is going on. While ANC is a missing feature with these buds, the tight seal of the ear tips keeps out much of the distracting ambient noise that would otherwise drown out the sound with a looser fit. Still, my footfalls from my treadmill were pretty annoying even with the music turned up. These buds are rated IPX4, which means that the internal electronics are sufficiently protected in the event you sweat excessively or are caught in the rain when outside. While I don’t normally receive phone calls when exercising, it’s nice to know that I can have a call without complaints that the caller can’t understand me, or me understanding them. While I haven’t had an opportunity to test them out in a heavy wind event, calls to family and friends have been very good. No complaints on my end or theirs; everything was clear. These buds, like many competing products, use a capacitive touch interface. That is, touch the outside of the earbuds to perform a specific function. Tap the right earbud in this model twice to pause/play. Tap the right earbud and hold it, and your phone’s assistant is activated (mine is Bixby). Tap the left earbud twice and it 1) skips to the next track or 2) gives you the current battery level (this is defined in the Bose Music app). These buds are on the low-end of battery capacity at 5 hours. The charging case provides an additional 10 hours of battery, equivalent to two full recharging efforts. A quick 15-minute charge will give you up to 2 hours of use. Honestly, the 5 hours is probably fine for me because, except for travelling, I rarely use my buds for more than a couple of hours at a time. As noted above, these buds come fitted with medium ear tips, and include an additional small and a large set. The Bose Music App that I alluded to earlier lets you name your buds, manage Bluetooth connections, and more. Lastly, these buds have 4 microphones, can communicate up to 30 feet using Bluetooth version 5.0, and support Codec SBC and AAC. From a critical perspective, while the sound these buds puts out is outstanding, the capacitive controls lack of functionality is glaring. I don’t want to have to pull my phone out of my pocket just to change the volume, or answer a call, or go to a previous track. Pause/play and Volume changes are two things that I do numerous times each use. While I’ve seen nothing to suggest a firmware update is forthcoming to address these shortcomings, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. If these buds had these features, I could retire all my other buds permanently. Ignoring the capacitive control issues, these buds warrant a 5-star review for fidelity and clear call reception. However, I’m giving them 4 stars because I can’t overlook the lack of capacitive control.

Excellent airbuds. My 4th pair of bose headphones/airbuds. I've had 2 wired sport buds and the qc35. I was worried about these falling out, but I've been working out and running with them and neither the left or right have fallen out or even attempted to fall out. And they sound good Highly recommend Only con is that I have found they pair "slowly." I have to wait a few seconds for them to pair to my phone before I put them in and sometimes it would only play sound thru one earbuds, but now since taking my time it hasn't been an issue
