Not good at all. I cant qear anything in my ear so ive numerous over the ear bone conduction etc. These are not the most comfortable to wear and make your ears stick out. The biggest deal breaker for me, is that they dont hold a charge. I will wear them and after a couple of days of no use, they are completely dead. They just dont stay charged.

Hey Jay, the Open Earbuds only require two hours to fully charge, and they provide 8 hours of streaming. If you are not experiencing this, I'd recommend trying all troubleshooting at https://bose.life/3uiLffB to fix this. If you find the issue persists, and you have difficulties with the fit, reach out to us at https://bose.life/38Q1vZs and we'll be able to put things right! Sam - Bose Customer Support bose

These were given to me as a gift but sadly i ended up returning them. The reason why is because I wear glasses and it interfered with them. Also these do not go inside the ear so they stick out. Other then that I would of kept them because the sound is just awesome but they do not have cancelation mode either.

I am incredibly picky when it comes to my audio. I have a collection of IEMs and headphones that range from something as cheap as the Tin T2s and expensive as the Sony Z7M2s. I’m also surprised that Best Buy still lets me shop in store with the frequency of which I purchase things (mostly audio gear) and return it simply because I don’t like it. All of that to say, I’m very critical of all things audio and I actually really like these Bose Open Earbuds. There’s work to be done on these, for sure - but I think Bose is onto something. I’d love to see further iterations of this product. The Good: - Sound quality. Bose is cheating a little bit here because while these are marketed as “earbuds”, they are more accurately described as miniature speakers that hang above your ears. Because of this, they sound significantly more spacious than a pair of standard earbuds. Because these are miniature speakers and not bone conduction headphones (which are altogether different, though very similar in style and purpose), the sound quality is noticeably better - more crisp and natural. One of the biggest faults of the sound quality is that there is no sub-bass. You will not get that low-rumble and impact that you would from other higher quality headphones/IEMs. Now, I’m not sure why Bose would take this route. Maybe it was to ensure that the sub-bass not muddy up the mid and high frequencies - maybe they just got lazy, who knows. Needless to say, I think for these to be perfect - Bose should really pursue offering something that has the ability to play all of the frequency range. Regardless, despite the lack of sub-bass, I really am a fan of the sound. It’s not top-grade audiophile sound, packed full of detail and precision. It’s Bose - consumer friendly, warmer, slower resolving - altogether unoffensive to the ears. Its a sound signature that is neutral enough but still non-fatiguing. I really can’t emphasize the spaciousness of the sound either. In terms of specific use, these are perfect for listening to podcasts, acoustic stuff, even some classical music. They do the natural timbre of voices and acoustic instruments very well. - Concept. This is incredibly vague, but I think the overall concept of these is nice. They provide that open-ear design without utilizing bone conduction technology. I’ve used bone conduction headphones, they’re okay - they serve their purpose well. These are better for people that want to squeeze a little bit more out of the audio quality. - Case. While the case is not a charging case (bummer), I’m almost glad that Bose opted to provide this simple, minimalistic case. Bose, in my opinion, is notorious for making charging cases too large with a form factor that does not fit into a pocket well. This case, however, is a nice size and feels nice. Its slim enough that I can stick it in my pocket and not really notice it too much. Now, while I can’t make peace with them not including charging, it would have been nice if they did some sort of sensor that would shut the earbuds off for you. The Okay: These things aren’t great, but not bad either - they’re just okay. - Battery: Battery life is rated for about 8hrs which, even with heavy listening, should last all day. Not bad. I think Bose was concerned with the weight of these earbuds (and justifiably so) so they opted to not load in a bunch of batteries. That said, I would imagine that they could have fit an additional battery or two in the ear hook (which is incredibly light and feels almost hollow). Given that these don’t have a charing case, I would have expected a battery life of 12hrs, at least. But, 8hrs isn’t bad so I can’t complain. - Design: I’m a little shocked that Bose went with a hardened plastic for the ear hooks as opposed to a rubberized silicone. Something flexible would have catered to more diverse fittings for different shaped and sized ears. The hardened plastic just isn’t going to fit everyone comfortably. Read reviews and you’ll find some people say they’re weightless on the ears - others can’t stand them. I’m somewhere in the middle. They’re comfortable enough that if I’m focused on something else, I forget they’re there. But, if I’m just listening to music - I easily notice that they will slightly pinch my ears. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. There’s advantages and disadvantages to the way Bose has done this. - Microphone. The microphone is pretty standard for a pair of wireless earbuds, nothing to write home about. The Bad: There really isn’t much, if anything, that is truly awful about these earbuds. There are obviously somethings that need improvement, but I think Bose is on the right track here. For some people, I think real negatives will be the comfort - its not for everybody. Others might not like the lack of a charging case and a battery life of only 8 hours. Unfortunately, its really difficult to do TWS well - there’s always a compromise somewhere. As a whole, I’m quite pleased with these. That said, I did purchased these used for $150. $200 is a bit much in my opinion. You can either step down to a pair of bone conduction headphones for $100 to $120 which are open ear as well (though have their own drawbacks). Or, you can step up to a set of ANC true wireless like the AirPod Pro’s with their transparency mode. If I were Bose, I would probably place these more in the $150 to $160 range to have a greater draw.

Great Solution For Walkers and Runners

A great solution for walkers and runners who need to maintain awareness of their surroundings. Excellent sound quality and comfort is not an issue; they take 5 minutes to get used to. No issues with wearing sunglasses. These replaced my Apple AirPods (1st and 2nd generations) and are far superior in sound and stay in place.

Hey! I'm pleased you love the sound quality of the Open Earbuds.

One full charge will only take two hours, but provides eight hours of streaming time! The on-board buttons allow you to access the voice assistant, control your phone calls and media playback. Did you know, you can also easily change the volume by slowly tapping on the center of each earbud? Tapping the right earbud will increase the volume and tapping on the left earbud will decrease the volume.

Very happy with the overall quality and performance. Battery lasts for a lot longer than expected. They are very comfortable. I cant stand having anything in my ears so this product is perfect. I do wish the part that curves around your ear was a bit skinnier and longer.

      Hi Randy,

Glad you've enjoyed the great Bose sound. Sorry you had some issues with charging, do ensure that you have sat your headphones onto the charging base correctly, it is easy to accidentally place these upside down. View our support article here to help you http://bose.life/3pZhgpb
