These things sucks, you have to leave on a base to charge, can only use right ear by it self. Can use only the left. Battery sucks with no use they’re dead in a day. Your better off going to a dollar store and getting earbuds over these things.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good these earbuds sound given that they are the open-ear style, but Bose does not disappoint. They are comfortable, and during workouts do not move at all. These are a must in order to work out safely outdoors!!

There is no doubt about sound quality with these since they are Bose. However, they are not terribly versatile. You technically can wear one at a time, but the controls for them are not customizable (at least on iPhone/iPad). The battery life is pretty decent, but these would be perfect if they offered the ability to wear one at a time and swap when battery is low.

The hard plastic around the ear causes continuous ear pain, could not get acclimated to them. The ear piece needs to be a little longer and flexible. Other wise, concept and sound are awesome. So close. Look forward to next iteration.

Hello Robert! Glad to hear that you are enjoying the sound of the Open earbuds. If the earbuds were causing discomfort. It could be that they were not worn correctly. They’re purposefully molded to follow the natural curve of your ear, resting securely in place without covering it. We have a video on our YouTube channel that shows how to get the best fit. You can check it out here: https://bit.ly/2SkgKak.

Upon opening I was surprised by the amazing quality of the case. The texture and shape is so nice, it’s definitely not sliding out of your hands. It is pillow shaped, but flat and would fit nicely in sport/yoga leggings with side pockets, without being too bulky, and would stay put because of its “rubberized” texture. You initially need to download the app, if you don’t have it already, to activate and set up on your device. After that, you don’t need to access the app for them to work. They will pair via Bluetooth connectivity on your device. Very quick and streamlined setup. The sound quality is amazing. When they first came on, WOW, the submersive sound that flowed through them was great. It sounded as if they were seated right into my ear canal. But no they are on the outside just resting right above my ear. It’s crazy. The earbuds aren’t small like the ones that fit into your ear canal, but that’s because they rest on the outside above the tragus, and are held in place by the arms that fit over your ear. They are super lightweight and are very comfortable to get on. I don’t have a large or a high helix (top part of ear) on either ear but they fit and rested there with ease. However, after about 20 minutes the right one became uncomfortable and I had to remove. I tend to always have an issue with that ear if I have something resting on it for a while. So at this time I can’t directly say it’s the fault of the device, weight, shape, size, etc. It’s just that my ear shape is different. With placement of earbuds, it was simple. Just glide the arms right over your ear. You will barely notice anything there. I would forget that they were on until my right ear wanted to tap out. Once they are over your ear it takes a lot for them to fall off. In fact, couldn’t get them to fall off no matter how much I vigorously shook my head, bent down towards the floors, jogging, full run, stretching etc. We currently live in the Age of “Rona”, and I can say that having extra things around our ears aren’t comfortable at all but it isn’t so bad when wearing the mask. Of course, it’s more noticeable that something is there but my main issue was the earbuds would fall off when trying to remove my masks. So it’s great for activities when you can be free of wearing a mask. I can’t report how it would be for those with glasses but if you have average shaped ears then you should have room for both glasses and the earbuds. Call quality is very clear and crisp. Lows, highs and mids are pretty good, clear and crisp across the board, as well. Be careful, when playing music/sounds it can get really loud. I haven’t been able to turn it up all the way without feeling like I may have damaged my ear drums. These things are very powerful sound wise. It really sounds like a walking theatre in your ears. It’s cool. Ok so onto want I don’t like. The case isn’t a charging case so make sure you always have the charger with you if you’re traveling. The case has a strong magnet to keep them secure, but the cradle to lay the buds inside of the case does not have magnets so the buds move around slightly inside of the case and if it is open they will fall out. However, the charging cradle has super magnets and the earbuds will not budge, that’s a plus. Another annoyance is if you place them down, they do not auto shut off. So the battery just drains even if they aren’t being used bc it still pulls bluetooth from your device. If someone calls and you’re not close to them you have to remember to switch the call to phone speakers. Also, there’s no volume control on them, which sucks if you’re running or exercising, you’ll have to pause to get your device and adjust the volume as needed. Even with those grievances I can still recommend these. The sound and quality are top notch.

Upon receiving my new headphones, I was excited to try them out. But after about 20-30 minutes of trying to fit them properly I got frustrated. Not sure what bose was trying to achieve with this product but I would recommend trying them out in a store before you purchase. Clearly not for me!!!
