The Bose Sport Open Earbuds are designed to rest right on top of your ears instead of being inside. It’s a more natural listening experience than traditional earbuds.
Equalization, like bass or treble, is not adjustable on your product. You can try adjusting equalization on the connected device.
It does not have noise cancellation because being able to hear your surroundings while exercising has a unique advantage. Not only can you hear any potential hazards, but you can also hear and stay connected to the world around you.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I generally used IEM's to tune out the sound around me while I work out. I have a home gym so I don't really need to pay attention to others. One thing about quite a few IEM's is that they tend to put pressure on my ear canal after extended periods or if I get too sweaty they pop out of place or pop all the way out. So I decided it might be time for a change. The Bose Sport Open Earbuds act more like open back headphones. Because of the openness the soundstage feels bigger and immerses you into what you're listening to more so than close back or IEM's. The downside of open headphones and the Bose is the lack of bass. Mids and highs come out clear with no distortion, but bass kinda gets left in that gap between your ear and the tiny speakers. It definitely doesn't sound bad, all sounds are pronounced and vibrant; they just lack that oomph that you get from a deep rumble. The Bose Music app is available from the Play Store. It allows you to change the shortcut on your left ear button and change the standby time before it goes to sleep....That's it. You view your current song, ff, skip, etc, everything you can do in the app that's actually playing the music but far less. This offers no other real function other than to mine your precious data. One more link to leak data when a breach occurs. So it's out. The phone's BT connection works fine without it. Maybe if it offered an EQ there could be a slight chance I'd use the app again. Now with working out it stayed in place from deadlifts to face pulls - today was OHP day for J&T 2.0. Sweat isn't a big problem since it's winter time, but come spring that waterproofing better do its job, lol No inner ear pain and actually felt like I was listen to a big speaker instead of small headphones. Bose did an amazing job on squeezing the sound out of these headphones. Now the one downside is that ear shape plays a big part in the quality. These didn't fit me anywhere like they show on the manual. I have to angle them forward and down about 20 degrees. I can't get them parallel like the image shows. In my attempt to get them pushed back more I notice a dramatic increase in sound quality in various positions. But, because of the design of the headphones, you can't adjust the position to become your preferred spot. You're pretty much stuck with what Bose came up with and have to deal with it, which will be a disappointment to some ear shapes. Currently these will now be my go-to headphones for working out. Kinda wish I could use them for cutting grass in the spring but I need to isolate my ears from the noise of the mower and weedeaters.
