Average Bose product
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality was amazing as it always has been and is with the other Bose products we have. However I did not like the fit or how bulky the they are. Also they did not seem to hold a charge as long as I feel they should. I returned them and got air pod pros.

Not worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a long distance runner and I had been on the lookout for non earbud headphones that could enable me to hear environmental noise to be safe in my surroundings, but that were also lightweight and sweatproof. When Bose announced these headphones I was super excited, as I thought all of my problems would be solved. Unfortunately, these did not live up to the hype. Despite their amazing sound quality and ability to stay secure and sweatproof on the ear during runs, these headphones have little going for them. Major Problems: 1) These guys are heavy. Like 14 grams EACH heavy. I couldn't stand to run with them for longer than 90 min before my ears were hurting too badly to tolerate. The right one was mostly comfortable until the 90 min mark, but the left one felt noticeably uncomfortable from the onset of all the runs I took them on. 2) Even after going to the trouble of downloading the bose music app and making an account there, pairing with these was awful. If I needed to switch devices I needed to forget device a bunch of times in the bluetooth settings--it never became less obnoxious. 3) After about a week of use, the left headphone died. It wouldn't take charge on the charger, so I called Bose support and went through all their troubleshooting for an hour. After finally getting the software update to download, the headphone LED indicated it was finally charging, and the support consultant assured me that the worst was over. I went out (with a different pair of headphones) for a run, and by the time I got back, the headphone was flashing the red error signal LED once again. -_- That for me was the last straw so I took them back to Best Buy and exchanged them for some Aftershokz (Aeropex) which I am absolutely enamored with. TLDR: Don't waste your money on these. Try Aftershokz if you want the benefits without the hassle

Posted .Hello,
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The Bose Sport Open Earbuds are a truly different kind of sport headphone. That’s because they’re the first of their kind that don’t go in your ears. Instead, they combine exclusive Bose OpenAudio technology with a unique open-ear design to produce high-quality sound without covering your ears.
Sorry you found these to be weighty, each earbud weights 0.49 oz and were designed and tested for a stable fit. They’re purposefully molded to follow the natural curve of your ear, resting securely in place without covering it.
We appreciate you reaching out to Bose product support regarding the battery concern you faced, that is very bizarre that you had this experience, and not what we would expect. Although you have now returned your product, we appreciate you giving it a go.
Kind regards,

Superiour Sound .. Pinched Ears
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previously owned Bose earbuds and loved the quality, hated the size and weight. These have the quality that you have come to trust from Bose but they pinch the inside of my ears. After just a few hours I had dents in my (small) ears and they were soar for hours.

I'm keeping them
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was nervous about this purchase reading some reviews but I gave them a shot since Best Buy has a good return policy. So I'm going to put the short first and you can read on if you want. I read how they're uncomfortable, I haven't found them to be, I wore them about an hour the day I bought them, and a full 7 hours the following day (yes that's right 7 hours) and I've worn them quite a bit today, (maybe close to 3 hours) Now, yes I do feel a little discomfort but lets get real, that's a lot of hours to log on ear buds and I couldn't have used my old ones this long or even close. I will say, they could've thought about the flexibility, because flexible they're not, so I could see where some people depending on the size/shape of their ears might find them a little uncomfortable. It was a little bit of a put off they don't charge in the case, I mean who doesn't have that ability these days right? But don't let that scare you, As stated above I wore them 7 hours, with 20 percent battery left at the end so not charging in the case is a non issue when they last WAY longer than most people would ware them. Reviews I read said there was no volume control on the ear buds, and I DID find this to be true, however I downloaded the Bose music app and it notified me of a firmware update with new features, and what do you know, volume control was one of them. I feel it's important to mention that so that readers know the older reviews were correct but since the update they now have the ability. Sound quality, I'm very impressed. The clarity and tone are amazing. I really wasn't sure what to expect since they didn't go directly in my ears, but they have better sound quality than my other ear buds. Excellent balance, very rich and full in the sound department. The volume can be turned up high enough that in noisier atmospheres you can still here your music with a lot of clarity. Phone calls, Well they work, but not as good as a good quality ear piece dedicated to that purpose. Not a deal breaker for me because I bought them for good music, and being able to use them with a phone call was just a bonus, and convenience. I wanted open ear Bluetooth ear buds because I like to go hiking, plus I like to listen to music while I work, and exercise. Needless to say I'm fairly active so I use my ear buds often. I like that these don't go in my ears directly making it possible to more easily hear the world around me.

Great Sound little compromise
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I really enjoy the open concept and not being fully isolated with ear plug style buds. These sit easily over the ear and provide great Bose sound. For comfort they don’t feel too heavy but after 3 hours or so they do start to irritate me behind my ears. So a little bit of wear fatigue. My biggest complaint is that while you can program multiple devices to pair, you must use the app to manually switch between phone or laptop for example. It does not automatically switch if you turn one off and the other on. My sport buds will do this. It is the one thing that is annoying. They also do not like to stay paired with my Dell laptop for work but that is a problem with Dell. My iPhone and Airbook work just fine without a problem. Over all I really like the sound quality and the open ear design. Closest feeling to my plug in Grado cans.

Not what I wanted
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was disappointed with this product, especially at the price. If was awkward putting them on. They were painful to wear. They fell off whenever I put on my glasses and or face mask. They did not automatically connect with my phone.

Good purchase
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, so I do not like headphones that go inside the ear. That was the top reason for my purchase of these headphones. Before this purchase, I had been using treks titanium headphones, but I had been waiting for Bose to come out with a pair since that is my brand of choice. As far as sound quality, it is good. I use these headphones to talk on the phone and also listen to music. My only complaint with these headphones is that when wearing them for an extended amount of time (anything more than 1 hour) they tend to hurt around the ears. This may be because of the size, I am not sure but it tends to hurt if wearing them for an extended amount of time. Also, I read that people have trouble putting these on, I have no problem putting them on or removing them.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked the sound and the functions of the product. Great sound/concept, inflexible shape.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for these ‘open’ ear buds. Pluses: sound is quite rich Volume is really good Battery life and BT connection all good Minuses: The fit. They just always felt weird to me and not secure at all. I don’t know why Bose opted for this inflexible, hard plastic. No way do these fit the wide range and variety of ears. I’m sure there are perfect ears out there and some of the highly positive reviews attest to this. For me, though, nope. They always felt “half” on and I couldn’t twist them enough to make them feel secure. Maybe gen2 will reflect all this feedback and they use a flexible material so you can adjust them better. Mine got returned. Back to my in-ear buds and I guess people will have to still wave at me to get my attention!

Bose sport ear buds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like these ear buds as they have great sound quality and they stay on my ears when doing intense cardio. I’ve tried a couple of other brands designated as sport ear buds and they would not stay securely on my ears. I also like how these don’t actually go in your ear, but rather they clip on top of the ear...takes a little getting used to but it’s a great design. Save yourself some time and headache and get these...sure they are a little bit more expensive but well worth it!

One Size doesn't always fit all.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got these for my husband. He has to have "over-ear" design to keep them on. Overall these are great. Sound- Expected that the sound would be heard by persons nearby since they do not fit in the wear. Call sound quality from the microphone has been good for the person on the other end of the line. Fit - Love the over-ear design. Wish they were adjustable at least slightly. Ears can vary in size/shape. Fits great on 1 ear, the other ear is uncomfortable after wearing for a short time. Considered using a heat gun to see if it could bend slightly but don't want to harm them internally. Ideas? Charging - would be nice if they had a charging case rather than a separate charger.

Posted .Hello! I am so glad to hear that your husband loves his new earbuds. Especially our custom designed Bose OpenAudio and awesome call quality. Bose Sport Open Earbuds were rigorously designed and tested for a stable fit. They’re purposefully molded to follow the natural curve of your ear, resting securely in place without covering it. Plus, a matte finish provides additional grip and reassurance that each earbud is secure no matter how much you move. They’re sprint tested and burpee approved.
Thank you for your feedback surrounding the adjustability and charging case, I will be sure to pass them onto the team.

Overall good sound quality
||Posted . The Bluetooth is instable in occasions. Not too comfortable for long periods of constant use.

Interesting idea
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a neat product but there a few quirks that hamper it. Why they decided to make you have charging base and a seperate battery case is beyond me. Calls only go through Right ear and if you want to use just one earbud they both turn on. Why Bose does this everytime with products is beyond me. These very lazy decisions make the product a pain the butt when a single case that charges and works would be much easier then two. I'm also not 100% on the comfort level, I wish the part that goes behind the ear was flexible but it is not.

Good but not perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good sound. Surprisingly good bass too. Absolutely great for running and biking, as they stay snug and fit well and allow you to hear all around you. Work excellent on calls too. However, after an hour a couple hours you begin to notice them on your ears more and can make your ears a lil sore. My ears are a bit bigger I guess so I wish there was something you could do to adjust them. Hasn't stopped me from enjoying them tho.

Poor battery quality
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The audio is good, But the battery drains faster than normal, a full charge earbuds only last 30ish minutes after few months of light use. I bought this a while ago just few months later It became obsoleted due to useless battery. Other cheaper brand can do much better in battery, why Bose so disappointed... I am very regret buying it.

Small ears/glasses + mask = bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose usually nails it in the wearable speakers department, but this one isn’t for everyone. If you have smaller ears and wear glasses, these aren’t for you. One area of design that Bose could improve on is the material for the part that goes around the ear. It’s a hard, slippery, and hollow piece that doesn’t allow for good grip in the hands. I found the ear buds constantly slipping out of my hands like a wet bar of soap. If only they had used a flexible and semi grippy material instead of relying on the pinching effect to maintain grip around the ears. The case doesn’t allow for charging of the earbuds. There is a separate charging base to do that. The sound quality is great. Price is a little high for the value and functionality of the current version. Hopefully Bose will listen to the consumer and make some changes.

Posted .Hey!
Thank you for your feedback on the Sport Open Earbuds! We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying the sound quality!
The earbuds shouldn't pinch your ears to stay in place. Therefore, I would recommend checking this video here: https://bose.life/3a4WcHU, to make sure you have them positioned correctly.
Thanks!

Different, but in a good way.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have worn plenty of different kinds of headphones and earbuds throughout my life, and I always seemed to find some issue with them. Sometimes they are flimsy, sometimes they have poor audio, sometimes they make you sweat profusely, sometimes they just decide to pop out of your ears, and sometimes they are just generally bad. These earbuds are certainly a unique concept, as they latch on to your ear (which is a must for me since earbuds always fall out) but they do not actually go into your ear canal and leave everything open. This is good, but also bad. It is good because one of the selling points of this product is that of situational awareness. I have my iPod maxed out on volume and when I walk around with these, the crickets and running stream are just as loud (if not louder) than the music, even though I can still hear the music! I would not recommend these for someone who wants to just zone out and shut out the world around them, or people who want to stifle the noise of a busy street or a loud party, but I would absolutely recommend these for someone who wants to be completely aware of their surroundings while out and about. As for the audio quality, they are near perfect. Besides the volume of the devices, the audible range on these are amazing. Most earbuds I have worn sound very high pitched or muffled, but these sound perfectly clear. I have not used them much, as I am still getting used to how they feel on my ears. However, I can say that I am eager to keep on using them and getting used to how they feel on my ears. They grant wireless freedom and are fairly light, as well as the best audio quality I think I have heard from any earbuds without having to shove them halfway down your ear canal to hear it. A great purchase, through and through. Once again, I have not been disappointed by a Bose product, and I believe they are well worth the cost.

Uncomfortable Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are very uncomfortable around the ear and feels strange where it presses on the front of the ear. Sound quality was better than I expected but not as good as normal headphones. Also, for $200, it should be a battery case instead of having a separate charger. If you can get them to be comfortable and you really want the headphone to press on the top portion of your ear instead of being in ear, you will like these. I have a hard time imagining these will work out for very many people.

Bose Sport Open Earbuds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love these things. After a hour or so they get top heavy and start to hurt my ears. When I put them on I have make sure they are seated on my ear correctly. They sound amazing. Only real flaw is that the case doesn’t charge the headphones. Just for reference I own both the Aftershox aeropex, and air. They both have a headband/ bar that connects the ear pieces that helps with weight distribution. It makes them feel a lot lighter when wearing, but the sound quality doesn’t compare to the Bose.
