    Great surround sound

These speakers are great for what they are for. Adding these to my Bose soundbar and Bose acoustimass complimented the sound during movies very well. Maybe a little on the high side for pricing but I got over that after I watched a good movie (Deadpool).

Good news for virtually invisible 300

First i got the soundtouch 300 soundbar and acoustimass 300 sub after hearing it in the store blow sonos and samsung k950 away. Hooked it up at home and WOW! Love it. Then i got the virtually invisible 300 surround speakers and they sound good for quality of sound but low volume and just not loud enough. Was about to take them back because just couldn't justify almost 300 bucks for that little sound but decided to call Bose tech support first and glad i did. They told me based on customer feedback about low volume from the virtually invisible 300 surround speakers they were working on a update on the Bose soundtouch app that will allow you to turn the volume up on the surround speakers and it should be available in the first quarter of this year 2017. So by the end of march this issue should be fixed so im going to keep them and wait for the update. After that the setup should be as perfect as a soundbar sytem can get and its close to that already.

Great sound from almost wireless speakers

First off for those complaining they aren't loud enough you need to understand what "surround" speakers are all about. They don't put out a ton of sound all the time.... Put in a movie or a game on your Xbone and you'll hear a ton of sound shooting from them. Turn on network tv and not so much. Sound is crisp and clear and in the right situations perfectly loud. My only major issue is the chord but I know that's can't be helped. They are the perfect compliment to the sound bar and AM module. I'm glad I purchased them.

    Disappointed

They didn't improve on the soundbar (Soundbar 600) much. I played with the settings and couldn't get good quailty, so I ended up returning these. For the price, I was excited & they definitely ended up not being worth it, in my opinion.

    SoundTouch Update Resolves Volume Issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I read previous reviews stating that the volume cannot be changed with these speakers. As of February, an update to the SoundTouch app gives the user the ability to change the center channel and the surround volume independently to resolve this issue and it definitely does help the experience. Speakers sound great with the soundbar and sub-woofer. So definitely get them, you won't regret it.

    Too Little Too Late

Very disappointed with the Bose Surround Speakers. I purchased the 900 soundbar and the 700 bass speaker and have found them to be excellent. However, the surround speakers do not generate enough background sound to make the purchase worthwhile. There are a very limited number of broadcasts where the speakers even provide sound. I would not purchase again and I would not recommend.

I bought Bose soundbar 300, Acoustimass 300 sub last week. Even though the sound was good with only those two I thought of add virtually invisible 300 yesterday. Woow.. it made a huge difference. I would say this is the best Home theater system I have ever had. Enjoy every bit of it.

Thanks for your review. If you hear nothing from your Surround Speakers, then they aren't necessarily broken. You'll need to play content in 5.1 format in order to hear sound from the Surround Speakers. No Instructions, Wrong Power Cords

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

For a Bose Soundbar 700 you are supposed to follow the app instructions for setting these up. Step one of those instructions say to plug them in, but absolutely no instructions on exactly how to do that. You might think, well that's easy - just plug the power cord into the back of the speakers, dummy. Nope, the power cords do not fit into the speakers. They instead fit into adaptor boxes that come with the speakers. Well, per the very sparse printed instructions those boxes are for the 300 system, not the 500 or 700 systems. If Bose cannot even explain how to set up their own products then I am not going to try figuring it out on my own, especially after already having spent 5 hours on a disappointing soundbar and subwoofer. This is going back to the store.

    Low poor quality sound

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased these surround speakers to add another aspect to the already superb tones coming out from the soundbar 300. Apart from the bulky power supply and wireless adaptor which I was prepared for, the overall sound quality and level of sound coming from these surround speakers is way below my expectations. What sound that comes out is tinny and lacks any real punch and clarity. Contacting Bose direct to pass on my concerns has not changed anything, my suggestion of 'tricking' the adaptiq setup by placing a cloth over the surround speakers in order to raise the volume was accepted as a possible remedy and did help slightly. The 300 soundbars superior surround sound quality simply drowns out anything the virtually invisible 300's can dish out which for a Bose product is rather disappointing. I will be returning these and putting the proceeds towards the bass module which has proven results.

    Not fun to set up

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased these along with my Soundbar - After I did all the set up for the soundbar, I set up these speakers only to realize I needed to do the set up again... I'm not sure why Bose would do this, but the wires come seperate from the speakers and you have to put the wires in this adaptor and then screw them in place and then plug it in the speaker. When the consumer pays this much money for the product I would think it would be more of a plug and play concept. I biggest downside goes along with my other review on the soundbar, the system goes to sleep after a little while and shuts down. I couldn't find any answers to fix this and frustrating if you want to leave it on all day while at work so your dogs have some background noise when you leave. Overall, the sound is great however the Sonos system seems to have more of a user friendly experience...

Thank you for the review Bryan. We appreciate the feedback. We are glad to hear that the sound is great. The system is designed to be simple to set up and easy to use, and you should not have had to run the setup twice. The system will turn off if it has not received an audio signal and user interaction for 30 minutes. When this occurs, the green LED will go out. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support team at 800-380-4831. We are here to help Monday through Friday 9am to 9pm EST. Bose

    The bricks turn me off

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought home the soundbar 600, the subwoofer 500 and left these two speaker at store. The reason is these have the brick attached to it. Could those Bose designer hide the brick inside the speakers like folks at SonoS do (SONOS One and one SL). I didnot even bother to listen to the sounds from them. Those BRICKs who want them for WIRELESS speakers?
