This is a great sound bar, especially if someone in your home has hearing loss. My husband can hear what is said on his favorite shows without the sound being uncomfortably loud for the rest of the family. Easy hookup to TV and connects to cell phone via blue tooth for great sound with our favorite music. I had to buy a second one for my parents. This speaker is well worth the money.

Maybe life-changing is a little overly dramatic, but let me explain. The Bose TV speaker as excellent sound. It's crisp and clear with decent Bass. Definitely a huge improvement over TV speakers. But it also has a feature called Dialogue mode which has been life-changing for my TV experience. I have some hearing loss due to stupidity and with Dialogue mode I'm able to clearly understand speech. It helps a lot when you're watching something and you can understand what's being said. So, regardless of the great Sound the Bose TV speaker provides, it would be worth every penny for me if all it had was Dialogue mode.

This sound bar is absolutely perfect if you want great sound but do not want the giant surround sound package for ultimate sound. Like all of Bose products, the sound is impeccable that no other brand comes close to. This compact sound bar has great bass without the amplifier. In fact I love this sound bar so much I own 2, with one connected to my tv and one in my garage for great sound when I work.

Great deal!! I purchased an open-box Bose TV speaker Bluetooth soundbar for about half the price and it looks and sounds like new!! definitely a deal. The sound quality is amazing. It was super easy to set up too

Wow, I had no idea that I needed a speaker for my TV. I did the comparison and with the convenience of how this integrates with my TV I would never want to go back. Sounds from voices, music, or movies just sound better. I can control the volume using the HDMI ARC connection. The optical cable sounds just as good but unless it is being used with a receiver then the volume would require an extra remote. Great job and a great speaker.

I have used Bose equipment for a long time. I really enjoy the sound of the product. It give me great quality is wonderful. And the price of the product was within the price i was looking for.

Man oh man! This sound bar is just amazingly awesome. We are simply blown away at the quality of sound you get! We have a fan running and a pig snoring almost constantly. This sound bar makes it so we can hear every footstep, leaf rustle, breeze blowing, pin dropping etc! I don't know how we have gone this long without this sound bar in our lives. So thankful for this little beauty!

The audio is probably the best I've tried in it's price class, which is why I've decided to keep it (for now) despite some annoying issues. I bought, returned/exchanged this unit twice in 2 days only to determine that the problem appears to be a compatibility issue between the Bose unit and my TCL TV (bought from Best Buy several months earlier). After actually spending hours on the phone with both manufacturer's tech support the conclusion is my problem is the eARC HDMI handshake on power up. Despite proper setup/installation the Bose unit will not be recognized by the TCL TV until the Bose is powered off and back on again. As a tech in a different industry I know the technological finger pointing that can ensue where each manufacturer blames the other. The bottom line is the TCL fired right up and worked flawlessly with a 9 year old Samsung soundbar set up through eARC. So the end result is that the Bose and TCL seem to play nice for now after a second power cycle by the Bose. The manual is lacking some info, specifically the function of Auto Detect by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds until tones are heard. I see no reference to the descending tones indicating the function is off/ascending on. There are no controls on the unit itself. All functions are performed by a conspicuously budget looking remote, which makes me wonder what the recourse is if it fails. I find the toggle between normal and dialogue mode creates some pyscho-acoustic dilemmas. The latter is louder and more mid/upper mid-range focused which makes it easier to listen to say, the news. But sometimes it also seems to benefit music streamed via bluetooth. This isn't a flaw as much as it is simply an oddity. The remote has a bass button that you can either boost or cut, but no other EQ control. Fine unit overall, just wish it operated the way it's supposed to with my TCL TV.

Unboxing and setup of the Bose TV Speaker is super easy, and only takes a couple of minutes. After hooking this up to my TV via optical audio I immediately noticed the sound to be very lacking compared to my TV Speakers. I tested all of the available modes and settings for extra bass and it just didn't hit the mark for me. Watching movies is definitely better than using it for basic TV (News, etc), but it still lacked the full immersive sound I am used to with a Bose product. The saving grace for this speaker is the bluetooth music streaming. Listening to many genres of music the bass was very noticeable and clear, and the sound filled the room perfectly. If you are looking for something to play music then I would pick this up right away, if your primary focus is a soundbar for your TV I would exercise caution.

The best sound bar I ever had.! Clear and involved sound.

Unit shut itself off. When troubleshooting I realized the bottom left of the unit was extremely hot. So hot that it was uncomfortable to touch. I wasn't comfortable leaving it plugged in at this point. Still under warranty, but for $300 I wish it was within the return period. It's a Bose. Grew up believing their stuff was the best. I'm not mad, I'm disappointed. Consumerism will ruin even the best companies. Why make quality stuff when you can churn out junk for twice the profit. Shame. Called support. I send them mine and they'll send a new replacement. Chat was not working on their website (tried multiple browsers) and on the phone (mostly on hold) 38 minutes later. Glad they are replacing it under warranty, but another month and I'd have a very hot and very expensive paperweight. Added 1 star for the support (shrugs).

This Bose TV Speaker died by itself after a power outage. Only the left red light flashes. Researched the problem it is the voltage regulator on the main circuit board. Local Tech said it was too expensive to repair. Called Bose tech to see if they knew anything. They said it was dead, but their CSR department offered to sell me a new one for $104. Good deal, right? Wrong. They did not tell me I needed to ship the old one back to them via UPS. I do not have a box this big and UPS sells boxes for around $40. All this happened over 30 days ago because their CSR got my email wrong. What a waste of time. I bought a small $20 bluetooth speaker which I can put next to me while watching TV. Less ambient noise, good sound, not subject to power outage failure.

The audio quality provided by this soundbar is excellent. Far surpassed my expectations. Our movie nights and game days have reached a new level. Easy install and easy to use. Don’t be fooled by the sleek and small design... this product packs a punch!

Exactly what we needed. We are senior citizens who needed a little extra help hearing our big screen tv. Went for the best in a Bose and are glad we did
