Not bose quality.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned Bose products before and I have to say I was disappointed in this item. Sound quality isn't optimal. Can't sync up with sound from tv. It looks like people are lip singing. I tried to trouble shoot without success. Now I'm past return time.

No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Bose
Posted .Hi Elisa, this is very strange? Are you connected using the Optical lead included in the box to connect? Or are you using a HDMI-ARC lead? This should prevent this from happening. If the video on the TV or device you are watching still does not match up with the corresponding audio you are hearing from your soundbar, check out the steps here https://bit.ly/2Q0IK1c.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly expected more from this sound ar considering how it was made by bose. The sound had minimal balancing and really sounded crappy, like it was being played through a tube. Luckily I was able to take it back though. Only positive experience with this.

They lied about the blue tooth .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound bar works good but it said it had blue tooth but I find that means just a receiver not a sending unit means my ear buds wont work with the sound bar . Very disapointd . Want to send it back not what i wanted . Looks like they lied to me about the blue tooth !!!

Posted .Hello! I am so glad that you are enjoying your TV Speaker. I am sorry for any miscommunication. The Bluetooth on the soundbar means that you can stream Bluetooth audio to it. It is unable to produce audio via Bluetooth, only receive.

BB is without proper complaints protocols now
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sold to me as open box but unchecked/tested. And that’s the good news, went down hill from there…. 6 hours or more of my life wasted and a rude manager who didn’t want to help…. All I needed was help to replace, in the end the manufacturer (JBL) was amazing as were (employees) at BB but best of luck finding anyone in corporate…. They are all gone…..

Good speaker
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speech enhancement is not as noticeable as on the previous Bose speaker I bought, but I like the fact that the enhancement stays on every time I turn the tv on.

Nope
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return it. It had no power cord, which I had to go back and purchase. The manager acted like he was giving me a deal. I think he was just trying to unload it on me. It never worked.

Not Bose's best product?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointing. It says Roku TV compatible, but when you turn the tv on, sound may come out of the Bose speakers, or the Roku TV, or no sound at all. Next power up, same 3 possibilities. No changes in setup, but different results every time. The clincher was we could not tell by sound quality if it was Bose or Roku speakers.

Not Bose quality.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is not Bose standard and we could never get it to work with our smart tv. It only worked with the cds we put in our dvd player. I have several Bose products, speakers, headphones, soundlink. This is lame compared to the other items. Very disappointed.

Distorted at Normal Levels in Less than 2 Months
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this sound bar for a little over two months and the sound is already playing distorted. We don't play it excessively loud but it's just plain distorted. Very disappointing because it's past the return date.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked well for the first 2 weeks then the sound started cutting out for periods of time. We updated it, called customer service and nothing fixed it so we attempted to return it to BB but it was beyond the 14 day rtn period. We are returning it to Bose.

Big sound, small package, usual Bose pricing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD - Small size can fit almost anywhere - Broad, clear sound range despite size - Wide volume range - Bluetooth connectivity - Includes high-quality TOSLINK cable THE BAD - Very expensive - Lack of punch without subwoofer - No DTS support over fiber optic - Uninformative "display" - Limited sound curve adjustment - No wall mounting hardware THE DETAILS A big part of Bose's claim to fame is being able to pack a lot of sound into small speakers, which carries over the their new TV speaker. The smaller speaker is a welcome option for those with smaller TV stands, or who don't want a massive beam under their TV, but still want full sound from their TV and movies. Setup is very simple as the back has only a single HDMI, fiber optic TOSLINK, and 3.5mm stereo jack. The HDMI port supports both audio return channel ( ARC ) and CEC, reducing the need for extra cables or remotes. A good quality fiber optic cable is included in the box ( with tethered end covers ) but no HDMI cable. Sound quality is very impressive for such a small speaker with no subwoofer. It does a great job creating stereo spacial separation far wider than the speaker itself, but not so much with virtual surround effects. Audio is crisp, clean, and very well defined. Even better, it does this even at very low volume levels. This makes a dedicated night mode unnecessary. However, someone could come at this from a very different angle. Prices of course fluctuate over time, but Bose products are never cheap. It's fair to consider all the things you DON'T get for the hefty asking price. First, and most obvious, is the lack of a subwoofer. You can get a very good 2.1 soundbar from competing brands for half the price of the Bose. The speaker does pretty well on the bass side without a sub in most general scenarios, but watch an action movie with lots of explosions ( the Master and Commander naval combat scenes are great for testing speakers ) and that lack of bass punch becomes apparent. Bose offers two compatible add-on subwoofer units ( as of this writing ), but they cost almost 2-3 times more than the TV Speaker itself. Buying the sub alone is not enough, you also have to separately buy a connection cable. Why Bose can't include a simple cable with a subwoofer costing hundreds of dollars is beyond me, but that's Bose pricing for you. Second, while it may be nice to say the speaker is easy and simple to setup, others will complain it can't act as any sort of receiver. It only has one audio input ( all three input jacks are treated as the same input source ). Sound curve and equalizer settings are limited to a +/- 2 step boost to the bass. The speaker does have a voice boost setting, but it makes the speaker sound far too thin and tinny for anything other than dedicated talk programs. The fiber optic input doesn't support DTS 5.1 signals either. I'm not sure if the HDMI works with DTS because my TV might have been doing the decoding before passing the audio to the soundbar. The manual doesn't specify which codecs the speaker supports, or if it can do any high-fidelity Bluetooth modes like aptX. Finally, it lacks small things that add up. The "display" on the front is nothing more than two lights. There is nothing to indicate current volume level and the current speaker operation mode ( whether Bluetooth, vocal clarity, or normal ) is indicated by combinations of blinks and colors. Again, you can see this as a simple and non-distracting design, or it's a frustrating lack of information. No wall mounting hardware is included in the box either; you have to buy that separate from Bose. If you want to spend a premium on a great sounding, very compact soundbar with no frills, and you specifically don't want a subwoofer, the Bose TV Speaker is a great option, possibly your only one. However, there are a LOT of very good 2.1 soundbar systems from competing companies that cost less than the Bose TV Speaker that would likely be a better option for most people.
