Wanted a smaller soundbar and was initially happy with the Bose TV Speaker but there are 2 significant problems I encountered. The first is the auto gain that comes out during quieter sections of movies or music. This is an audible hiss where the speaker is trying to amplify the background noise (when there is none) so it sounds like static or wind. Thought this was the source initially but encountered it with other programs and confirmed the problem on the Bose website. If there is a quiet passage you will hear it. The second is the remote learning function of the TV Speaker. This is a function that will let you use your normal tv or cable remote to control the volume of the Bose after a going through a simple programming process. I set this up and thought it worked fine until I touched other buttons on my cable remote (program guide, channel up or down, etc.) and the volume of the TV Speaker changed! The volume would randomly go up, down or mute whenever I would try to change a channel which was very frustrating to say the least! So, since the remote learning function obviously was a bust, the only way to normally solve it is to reset the TV Speaker so it erases the code. Problem is, I called Bose and although the person confirmed this is a known issue, there is currently no way to erase the codes and reset the speaker! Yes, you can unplug it for a while for a soft reset but it does not clear the codes. I even tried overriding the original code by programming 2 other remotes (from 2 other manufacturers) but the problem persisted. Since I was on the last day of my 15 day return window, I made the decision to return the TV Speaker. Bose needs to address both of these known issues with a firmware update and it just hasn't happened yet. You pay a premium for their products so you expect them to perform as such. I personally like the brand and currently have other products from Bose but I was not going to wait to see if and when these known problems would be rectified. It was just too expensive for that.

Excellent soundbar in a compact, quality package. The sound coming from this system is crisp and clear. It has nice balance and range. Potential buyers should note that it doesn't have the deepest of base, but it still puts out in that department. I personally enjoy the balance as you still get rich base without it overpowering the treble aspect of shows, movies, etc. There is less up and down on the volume when switching from quiet dialog based scenes to booming action. The only real negative that I have with the bar is that though I love the minimalist, sleek design, I do wish there were a small, inconspicuous display at least. As is, the only way to see volume level on the device is when a small light blinks each time a remote click turns it up or down. But, this is more of a nitpick than a real problem.

O bought the speaker as a surprise gift for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! Easy to pair and the sound is amazing! Definitely recommend it!

I got this sound bar on sale with a 4 year warranty and i absolutely love it! For how small it is its very loud and has crystal clear sound.

I didn’t realize I needed a soundbar until I got it. A friend of mine was talking about buying one and I started laughing, then I started thinking about it myself. I purchased a Bose wireless speaker, the sound link about 8 years ago and I enjoyed the sound, so I knew the only sound bar I would want would also be a Bose. I can no longer listen to my TV without using the sound bar. It doesn’t matter if I am only watching the news. I can’t do it without using my Bose.

Bose’s sound quality always has no doubt. It is turning my TV into a home theater. We enjoyed the sound quality. We can easily switch to Bluetooth and connect to the phone when we need to listen from the phone.

The soundbar has a great sound and was easy to connect. I used the optical cord and connected it to my cable box. The bluetooth is a great feature and I make great use of it from my iPhone.

The Boze soundbar was a Christmas gift for my daughter.She connected it to her tv and we were there to experience it.her television didn’t have much of a speaker ,but it is due to her living room being large and with high ceilings .and boy oh boy could we hear the difference.she had no idea we were giving her the Boze SB.She said it was exactly what she needed.5 star gift purchase in my book.if it goes on sale I’ll for sure buy one for our home

This was a great addition to upgrade my poor speakers on my TV. Great bass, nice design, and quality look.

Just purchased a second Bose soundbar, it's a great product and worth every penny. Perfect for smaller smaces due to footprint of soundbar but packs great sound quality. Easily switch from TV to bluetooth. Simple setup. Highly recommend.

This speaker is awesome - we got it with the sub and it has awesome sound! It's a large open room and we hardly need to have the volume up. Really happy with it!

I needed a front speaker to hear dialogue during heavy music or sound effects, and also enhance overall audio, pros: easy to connect, I did it via optical cable since I didn’t have and spare hdmi cable available, sound did improve over the tv speaker, dialogue was easier to hear, looks great, nice size dimensions Cons: audio dialogue button doesn’t really do much but make the sound muddy and indistinct, also makes the sound tin ee. Not many adjustments available to fine tune the highs and low frequencies, bass boost doesn’t sound like any difference, but that’s why you purchase a sub woofer, Overall, kind of pricey for what you get, I was fortunate enough to have store credit so it only cost me a fraction of retail. Would I make this purchase again, not sure, to be honest.

Awesome sound. Really clarifies talking. Love it. It is a little pricey but worth it. Do not like the tiny remote. Easy to use but have to keep an eye on remote.

The sound bar helps my husband hear the tv better.
