It is crystal crisp effect of door opening, water drops and Bass. I have connected through HDMI, I had to change better quality HDMI cable to connect. It makes cracking noise while playing intermittently and not going away. I have disconnected power cable and reconnected after while too. I am thinking to returning it. We are the one watch TV a lot and play music everyday.

The intermittent crackling sounds like a minor connection interrupt over the HDMI. We'd recommend to try changing to optical or another HDMI cable to see if it's a cable issue.

Dont expect this unit to be bass heavy or anything because thats not what its meant for. It clearly states Bose Tv speaker system. We definitely got what we paid for! Recommend for sure! Bose you have done it again!
