You can still hear people but also tune them out if you want. I wish i had gotten a different color, but what ever. The only down side is that you can't really hear on planes with them. Not travel friendly

I can't use normal in-ear earbuds because they hurt the inside of my ears after a while. The open earbuds I can keep on for hours, for example on a long haul flight. Plus, I like to be aware of my surroundings on a run by myself.

Good Sound, BAD microphone

Every time I get on the phone with someone, they tell me it sounds like I am going in and out with sound. I would not recommend for the price.

The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are equipped with two microphones in each earbud, and wearing them properly can greatly improve call quality. Blocked microphones may cause poor sound quality for the listener on the other end of the call. Please ensure the microphones are not obstructed by headwear and that the earbuds are positioned correctly on each ear.

If only they could fix the Bluetooth reliability its an awsome open ear.

Sound quality and comfy GREAT!

The sound quality is phenomenal and I do not have a problem with holding a conversation using them on phone calls! There a bit pricey but with Bose and the sound quality I didn’t mind paying the price. I own several Bose products and Bose stands alone in the quality of sound and listening to music!

They’re high quality while providing the wearer the ability to hear all their surrroundings without all the wind and extra distortion that other brands cannot seem to cut out. Would recommend for a runner or someone who needs high quality earbuds but also needs to be able to be aware of their surroundings.
