This is done by putting both buds in the case, then pressing and holding the button on the back for 20 seconds with the case still open. Rebooting your mobile device may also help in strengthening the Bluetooth connection. It does stay in your ear securely. Whenever I'm riding or walking, the only downfall. Is the call quality when making and receiving a call? It's an issue. People cannot hear me and if they do, it sounds gargled.
