Bose never disappoints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound quality. I love the range of volume, keeping it low lets you hear the surrounding but if you increase the volume you can focus on the music when needed. Been on several runs and they fit well, no movement. Still getting used to the control but so far very good product. I tried out shokz since they’re all the rave in the running community but didn’t come close to these. Someone swears I just got defective shokz but Bose always delivers on sound quality.

Comfortable Fit and Amazing Sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless earbuds are a game changer. The open-ear design feels incredibly comfortable—I can wear them for hours without any pressure or fatigue. They stay secure even during workouts, but still let me stay aware of my surroundings. The sound quality is exactly what you’d expect from Bose: clear, balanced, and powerful. Music feels immersive, with great bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. Calls are also crystal clear, and the noise management is impressive for an open-ear style. Battery life is solid, lasting easily through my day, and the charging case is compact and easy to carry. Pairing with my devices was seamless, and the controls are intuitive.

Constant Issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are amazingly comfortable and the battery lasts the entire work day, but that is where the compliments end. These headphones are HORRIBLE. When both headphones are in, the music is constantly un-synced. When you answer a phone call with them in, it cuts out the first 5 seconds of the call and the person on the other line won't be able to hear you. They will completely disconnect in the middle of a phone call. About once a day I have to reset them because they just stop connecting to my phone. Best Buy has amazing customer service and has replaced these headphones twice, but the problem has persisted in each pair I have received. I want to love these headphones because they're SO comfortable, but for $300, the amount of problems that come with them is not worth it.

I've had 4 BOSE Earbud products go bad in a row
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Positive notes first: ---- - The actual buds that go into your ears are comfortable, and the sound is great and seems to be very private while also allowing you to be aware of surroundings. I use it for hiking and trail running primarily. They stay put and are a great design themselves. The cons: ---- I was also a customer of BOSE for the Sports Open "over ear" series. Collectively: I have had to do 4 straight replacements of one variety of another with their products. For the sports open ear: I had to replace once two charging stands and a third replacement for a earpiece that went bad. For this new ultra setup: I now have my first charging case to replace. EACH of these replacements has occurred within 6 months to a year across the board. It was so frequent, in fact: that I remained within warranty with BOSE for all of my replacements of my BOSE sport. The bose ultra case managed to last me up until just past my 1 year anniversary with the product and so thus im stuck paying $100 for a replacement case on amazon. THeir charging stands and cases, simply put: are VERY cheap. You'll run into issues with the pins connecting or getting jammed into the small spaces. You'll feel the cheapness and how delicate they are. The only reason the bose ultra lasted the full year is I used them signifcantly less than my bose sport. Im confident they would've broken within first 6months to year as well had I used them as often as the sport open ear. BOSE is "getting away with this" with me as a customer simply by having a design that is superior to the competitors so far with open ear. However I cannot wait until competitors start to match them on good solutions for open ear wireless buds (not in-ear) because I am more than ready to ditch this brand. Their stuff simply does not last and you WILL be sending it back for a replacement if in warranty OR be replacing a case or bud soon enough. --- Note that for SOUND QUALITY, BATTERY LIFE, and CONNECTIVITY I'd give better star rating than "overall". Battery life I am giving a 2 star because in reality the battery charging is always an issue. However when you DO charge them the charge length is fine to get through a nice hike, etc. I've been happy with that piece when they actually work.

Innovative Form Factor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this product has an innovative design and great sound quality, that's where it ends. The fit is perfect, and the open earbuds really allow you to be aware of your surroundings. They're great for hiking, running, and other activities. However, the mic quality is absolutely horrendous, even after updating the product. No matter the conditions in which the call is taken, the other person won't be able to hear you clearly (it sounds like you're in a bathroom or below deck in a boat). I thought I received a defective product, so I exchanged it. Nope. The mic is still horrible. Yes, I've tried Shokz and other competitors, but the sound quality in these is unmatched for an open-earbud design. If you don't care about taking calls while you have these in, it's a great product. The price target should be more in the $150 range due to the mics and cheap plastic case. If you want wireless charging, you'll have to spend another $50 for the compatible case. If Bose could stop releasing several different colors and focus on the mics, this would be an amazing set of open earbuds.

Posted .Hi Chris, thanks for your review of the Ultra Open Earbuds! I'm glad you like their innovative open-ear design and sound quality.
As for the earbuds' mic quality, if installing the latest firmware update doesn't help, make sure the mic holes on your buds are not being blocked by anything. Also, try your earbuds with a different mobile device, just to compare performance there.
As to the charging case, we can confirm that the case is carefully designed, and will not break if handled with general everyday care. It's true that for this product, the wireless charging case cover is available separately.
Warm regards

Great headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got them for my wife as a christmas present. She has over the ear noise canceling headphones, but they work to well. As a result I frequently scared her because she would wear them while working from home. The sound quality is great in these and now she can hear around the house while listening to her music, podcasts and audio books. The battery life is great, the colors are nice and they are comfortable if you have smaller ears. Since getting shes only taken them out to sleep and recharge them.

Absolutely love them!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For open ear headphones, I love these. They are super light, I usually forget I have them on. The sound quality is great once you tweak the EQ with the Bose App. Out of the box they are lacking in bass. I love that I can hear everything around me and my music effortlessly and people around me cannot hear anything unless they are 75% volume or higher which they never need to be. These are better than bone conduction headphones like AfterShokz because those usually pressing into my head gave me a headache after too long. The Case is still small enough to fit in the "watch" pocket of your jeans. I love them. These will be useless on a plane. I was going to do 4 stars because they can't be used on a plane, but that's not why I bought them. I bought them because my airpod Pro's were starting to get uncomfortable being in my ears all the time. These are amazing and I love using them every day, literally on here back at BBY.com to buy my wife a pair.

Great open-ear headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This are a great option for open ear headset, battery life is awesome and they can adjust to the ear in different positions. I like them for outdoors exercising. Sometimes it struggles to switch connections between windows and Mac or iPhone, but having the case nearby solves the problem.

My First Bose Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these earbuds for a little less than a month and I really like them. This is my first Bose product and the sound doesn’t disappoint. I would say if you have sensitive ears than you may not like the way it wraps on your ears. They’re also very secure on your ear so they’re good for working out in.

Perfect for exercising and great audio quality!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for open ear headphones among different brands and this convinced me at the end and I’m not disappointed with my buy. They really are very comfortable that sometimes I even don’t feel them. Audio quality is awesome compared to other similar brands and you can customize it! Some People complain about max audio level but I’m not, these are OPEN EAR so they are not meant to sound very load so you can continue hearing your surroundings. I’m more than happy with my buy!

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved these. I’m one who doesn’t like to have earphones go in my ears. But the comfort and lightness of them was fantastic. And they stay on throughout my workouts no worrying about them falling off. The sound was amazing. I only wished they had a tracking in case they get lost.

Good headphones but has some drawbacks
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For open headpuones, the sound quality is very good. The headphones are comfortable to wear as well. Battery life seems great so far as well. Why not 5 stars? These headphones have some big drawbacks too. When i answer phone calls, nearly everyone has said rhe microphone isn't very good. Also, the controls other than pause and restart playing don't seem to work. I'm unable to change volume for example. I have to do many of the controls though my phone.

Would not recommend to anybody period
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fit is amazing, very light weight I give it 5 stars. The overall rating I give 2 stars 1 because the incoming call volume is horrible. I literally can hear any and everything they’re not the least bit noise canceling. Now can I wear them at work and most think they’re a thick pair of earrings yes but not worth my 320.00 I gave them to my husband. Beautiful design but would not recommend to an enemy. The volume is low compared to apple air pods. I spent more time saying what did you say. May be okay for working out listening to low volume but for anything else.

Best open headphones that exist.
|Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product limited by current firmware/software. The design and fit are incredible, I use these daily and no longer reach for my airpods. Some Cons: Constant static sound when in ear and audio is not playing (facebook,Reddit, etc) Bluetooth occasionaly wont reconnect and buds desync. also for $300 not having included wireless charging is a bummer
