Unfortunately, using the app isn't an improvement on sound quality. Two stars because at this price point you'd expect an overall decent experience BUT the phone call quality is waaay below acceptable. JLABs at least inclue 2 Mic ENC on their epic open sports for less than half the price. I WOULD NOT recommend these to anyone expecting to make phone calls with them. Which these days, I'm sure almost anyone is expecting to take or make calls. Bose price point remains high but dont improve quality.

The colors to choose from very limited.I picked black .

Wasn't sure what to make of these until I decided to stop reading the reviews and make a decision for myself. After purchasing a pair I'm very pleased with these. In ear buds are great but if you have to hear other people or noises around you at the same time can of course cut of the outside noises. These new Open ear buds give you the perfect balance of hearing both at the same time. I would highly recommend getting a pair for yourself and see how great these are. A game changer.

I was honestly looking for a pair of headphones to sleep in since I have awful insomnia and a certain playlist helps and I cant wear these for more than maybe an hour before my ears start to ache. Maybe its because I have fresh piercings but I thought this would be better for that since they wouldnt sit too close to them unlike my sony ear buds. These hurt enough that I might try the huawei ones. Not sure but unfortunately these are going back. They look nice but man they dont feel good at all. I have small ears too. The sound is not bad at all for open ears. I dudnt lovr it at first but it is good for open ears. Sound usually isnt the priority for this style anyway

Please note that these earbuds are not specifically designed for sleep purposes. However, it's usually fine to use the Ultra Open Earbuds during everyday use if you have piercings; if your piercings touch the earbuds, that’s okay as long as the earbuds remain comfortable and secure. The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have two microphones in each earbud, and properly wearing them can make a big difference in call performance. Blocked or partially covered microphones may cause poor sound quality for the person on the other end of the call. Please ensure the microphones aren’t obstructed by headwear and that the earbuds are positioned correctly on each ear.

But I didn't like the button controls. Only 2 buttons and a lot of options. I feel like they are trying to do to much I was never able to get the volume down to work only up. And for what you pay for them I honestly wasn't that impressed
