Good wireless earbuds with a few glaring issues that hold them back from being great.
The Good:
Despite my initial fears, I love how these fit. I've never had issues with comfort. So much so that I no longer want to use the standard, in-ear earbuds. Having your ears free is so much nicer!
They sound good! But with an asterisk... I'm not an audiophile, so I don't have the ear for different kinds of sound. But they are clear, no distortion, and I have no issue with how they sound.
Physical control buttons! Touch panels are awful, so having physical buttons to use is great! They're the kind that you have to press and hold in different ways, but I'll take what I can get. I mostly use them for one-press play/pause.
Easy to set up, and the app lets you set up the different audio modes easily.
The Bad:
Another app you're forced to use... Seriously, it gets tiring to have to download a new app for everything.
The asterisk about sound? The default Stereo mode is not very good. Muted, dull, and not all that clear. Once you swap it to Immersive Audio, however, they pick up.
Immersive Audio is a neat gimmick, but it's just that. A gimmick. I'm sure some people would like it, but I leave it on the motion one just for the better sound.
The Ugly:
That price is FAR too high for what these are! They're good, but nothing close to $300 good! Maybe $100, I'd argue you had something there. As much as I like the fit and think they sound good? No thank you.
This is my second pair since my first decided to begin failing on me after a year of ownership. The case, for whatever reason, refused to charge if it was not being actively messed with.
I'd only really use the left one, which is the one that would be dead the next day. Fully charged case and everything, but my bud would be dead unless I opened the lid, removed the bud, placed it back, and then it would charge.
So... Good earbuds for way too much money, considering that these, like all wireless earbuds, are just rentals. You're going to scrap these in the future. Three batteries in these so ONE of them is going to give up one day.
If you can get them at a massive discount, I'd recommend it. Do NOT pay full price.
We appreciate your detailed review! It’s great to hear that the fit and sound quality worked well for you, and that you found the physical buttons to be a huge plus. We understand the frustration with needing another app, however with the Bose app you can have control over multiple products using a single App. Your insight on long-term durability is also an important consideration. If you ever run into issues, we recommend reaching out to our support teams directly. You can get in contact via Social Media, or using this link: https://bose.life/globalsupport.

Amazing sound for music and the best thing is they feel like nothing is in your ears. Only issue is phone calls aren’t great especially for whoever is on the other end

I bought these to try something different. I'm a big AirPod user. Both Pro and Max. These are nice to not have my ears entirely contained or plugged.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the sound quality.
These are great to use when I'm around my family and still want to be involved with what's going on around us.

For open ear headphones, I love these. They are super light, I usually forget I have them on. The sound quality is great once you tweak the EQ with the Bose App. Out of the box they are lacking in bass. I love that I can hear everything around me and my music effortlessly and people around me cannot hear anything unless they are 75% volume or higher which they never need to be. These are better than bone conduction headphones like AfterShokz because those usually pressing into my head gave me a headache after too long. The Case is still small enough to fit in the "watch" pocket of your jeans. I love them. These will be useless on a plane. I was going to do 4 stars because they can't be used on a plane, but that's not why I bought them. I bought them because my airpod Pro's were starting to get uncomfortable being in my ears all the time. These are amazing and I love using them every day, literally on here back at BBY.com to buy my wife a pair.

Love them, I suffer from ear fatigue and have issues with things going in my ear. I almost for get they are on and with my dark hair it makes them nearly invisible.
The only con I think Being on after a full day wearing non stop can hurt your ear a bit but nothing compared to the ear fatigue I use to get using in ear head phones or even ear head phones

For open headpuones, the sound quality is very good. The headphones are comfortable to wear as well. Battery life seems great so far as well. Why not 5 stars? These headphones have some big drawbacks too. When i answer phone calls, nearly everyone has said rhe microphone isn't very good. Also, the controls other than pause and restart playing don't seem to work. I'm unable to change volume for example. I have to do many of the controls though my phone.

The fit is amazing, very light weight I give it 5 stars. The overall rating I give 2 stars 1 because the incoming call volume is horrible. I literally can hear any and everything they’re not the least bit noise canceling. Now can I wear them at work and most think they’re a thick pair of earrings yes but not worth my 320.00 I gave them to my husband. Beautiful design but would not recommend to an enemy. The volume is low compared to apple air pods. I spent more time saying what did you say. May be okay for working out listening to low volume but for anything else.

I have had these earbuds for a little less than a month and I really like them. This is my first Bose product and the sound doesn’t disappoint. I would say if you have sensitive ears than you may not like the way it wraps on your ears. They’re also very secure on your ear so they’re good for working out in.

Great product limited by current firmware/software.
The design and fit are incredible, I use these daily and no longer reach for my airpods.
Some Cons: Constant static sound when in ear and audio is not playing (facebook,Reddit, etc)
Bluetooth occasionaly wont reconnect and buds desync.
also for $300 not having included wireless charging is a bummer

These sound great. After having them for two months now I actually use them most for movies and tv shows. The immersive sound is perfect. I love not bothering anyone else at home. I used to wear headphones or buds but the way these clip on my ears I forget I’m wearing them. There is an adjustment period if you are used to noise canceling. I highly recommend.

I recently purchased the Bose Ultra Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds in black, and they exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is outstanding, with crisp highs and deep bass that provide an immersive listening experience without isolating you from your surroundings. The open-ear design ensures comfort even during long periods of use, making them perfect for outdoor activities or extended wear. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 8 hours on a single charge, with additional charges from the portable case. Connectivity is stable, and the intuitive touch controls are easy to use. These earbuds are a fantastic choice for anyone seeking top-notch sound quality and comfort.

Understand what you are buying and you will love them. These are not audiophile grade headphones. If you are looking for noise cancellation heavy bass and high volumes these are not for you. These serve a purpose. For what they are the sound quality is quite good. I bought these for biking and for the office. They excel at the office. I use them for calls, as a headset for listening to music etc. I can have these on playing music and still hear people approach my office and speak to them and hear them no problem. They are discreet and not extremely noticable. They are light weight and very comfortable. I wear them for hours at a time. I walk around with these not playing anything and forget they are on which is nice. Just buy them for what they are for.

They are good ifyou dont like the pain regular earbuds make you feel. Second not a fan of the mic quality for calls so mostly just for music and they never falm off

I'm on my 11th pair of earbuds now, but i bought these as my 9th. I really loved the concept. I am active, always on call and often in loud environments (truck driver), where i need to keep an ear out for my surroundings.
I will say, these are the most comfortable buds on the market. This is by far the best design for fit, ease of putting them on one handed and long term wear.
They also sound phenomenal when playing music or books. At full volume, people around me could hear that i was listening to something, but they couldn't tell what. So there is an aspect of privacy there.
However. The phone call quality is abysmal. These earbuds want to transmit every single noise, no matter how far away, and blare them at your recipient. When they do decide to transmit your own voice, they prioritize every other noise over it, so to your caller, you sound like you're stuck in a very noisy well. It is awful. And there is no fix. I keep them for 29 days trying to get them to work for my callers, because i loved them so much for my music. There is no positioning, setting, app or other fix to make calls bearable.
If you're only using these for media, this is the best product you can buy. If you intend to place a phone call, similar $17 amazon open ear buds sound about the same to your recipient, and at times, better than these.
On the 29th day, i was thinking that i was going to keep them for times when i just was listening to things and not making phone calls, while searching for another pair that would excel exclusively for calling. But then the case broke at the hinge. The lid no longer stayed on. What a bummer. I returned them to the store and bought 2 other branded headsets that both work significantly better for calls and are only slightly worse for media.
You got so close Bose. But i really expected more out of a namebrand headset approaching $300.
