Its primary use is to hold my phone so I can use it as a webcam (with Reincubate Camo). I'm a consultant currently working out of my home office and I'm constantly on Teams and Zoom calls 5 days a week. This unit does technically work but I find that any significant movement of the tripod with camera will cause the tilt head to loosen which makes my image look like I'm working from the deck of the ticanic just before it goes under. I suspect that if you aren't constantly taking the phone off the tripod and re-inserting it the unit would be more satisfactory. The construction seems adequate, but I'm pretty gentle with my tools so your mileage may vary. Ultimately, I will replace this with something more reliable soon.
