I use this for my Laser Pistol trainer. It holds my phone very securely and can be adjusted to the perfect height for the targets, I place around my training area. Good purchase.

Secure hold and I liked the flexibility of it. I also enjoyed the secure tilt feature for the top. The telescoping base allowed you to use it in shorter and taller applications.

Flimsy and cheaply made

Ball swivel joint is difficult to tighten. For not much more cost, there are higher quality alternatives on the market. Unfortunately, this was the only model that Best Buy had available for quick shipment and pick-up, and even that was delayed beyond what was predicted prior to order placement (and needed). We did not attempt to try the remote or the selfie-stick mode.

Perfect if you are new to vlogging like me or want to take it out on a stroll and capture what's going on around you. It was well worth the investment.

I have not yet used the remote. Gripe: The design and tolerances for the ball and socket with the thumb screw lock are very poor. So the aim is difficult to adjust precisely, and that's something I need to do several times, as I aim at different areas of a room, or me. If that part were better, this unit would be a 5+ star rating.

Also you can take videos which is cool and it has a remote & 3 height settings as well as handheld. Great for travel!
