Amazing Style & Amazing Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a audiophile and appreciate the best sound a headphone can offer, you have to try this pair of headphone. Not only it's stylish, the high fidelity sound it produces coupled with the adaptive noise cancelling technology, listening to music is truly amazing. In addition, the soft material on these headphones are comfort to the ears. Seals out any external noise allowing the noise cancelling to truly work in harmony. Last but not least, the bluetooth wireless capability and the battery life adds another bonus to this truly great headphone.

Excellent Sound and Quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First initial thoughts on these wireless headphones upon opening up the package were build quality is excellent and look very premium. They dont look cheap or feel cheap. They seem to be made of metal and leather and not too much plastic like most headphones. Inside the package it comes with a black cloth carrying case, aux cable and a USB C charging cable. Props to Bowers & Wilkins for going with USB C. Wearing these are very comfortable. The ear cups provide a tight seal around the ear without feeling too tight and provide a great seal. Which help with the active noise cancellation. I like that you can actually pop off the ear cups which are held on magnetically to reveal the angled drivers, great design elements in my opinion. Now listening to these are a pleasure. Sound quality are great even listening to different genres of music. Bass and mids are on point, turn them all the way up and the bass doesnt muddle the mids or highs, but for my personal taste I do prefer my highs a little bit higher. These headphones are also smart headphones, take them off or lift one of the ear cups off and the music stops, put them back on and the music continues playing. Theres also an app you can download to control the levels of active noise cancellation and the sensitivity of the wear sensor. Just wish there was some sound settings on the app to adjust certain things to my personal taste. Maybe they can update the app in the future to allow it. Overall great sounding headphone with nice design elements.

Premium 'Smart' Headphone Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are targeted for those that are on the go. Great for business travel. Just enough noise cancellation to drown out most background noise, but not all. So you do have a sense of awareness when walking around town for example. Pros: -High build quality, feels well-built and luxurious while also portable -3 Active Noise Canceling modes (office, city, and flight) -'Smart' feature built in - it powers on automatically when you take them out of your bag and put them on your head. It also pauses automatically when you take them off and resumes playing instantly when you put them back on. Leave them on a desk or around your neck for a couple of minutes, the headphones will go into standby mode -Good battery life - 22 hours estimated -Unique design, I have never seen headphones like these -High quality audio -USB-C connector port included on headphone Cons: -Can be a little less comfortable to wear for long periods of time than other premium headphones -Noise canceling performance not as good compared to other premium headphones, if you want complete isolation look elsewhere. Note: -Need to use a smartphone app to customize settings

Returned 2 for manufacturing issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned 2 of these because of manufacturing issues. I bought something else after the second one failed. Not a good sign for longevity if they do work properly when you buy them. Sound is great but they are very uncomfortable.

Comfortable noise reducing headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bowers & Wilkins headphones have been a pleasant surprise for me. I usually prefer ear buds, but decided to give these over-ear model a try. First, they look very stylish, with graceful lines, and a rich gold/platinum finish. The quality of the materials and the fit and finish appear top notch. They are surprisingly comfortable for long periods of time. They are relatively light weight, with my scale measuring them at 11 ⅞ ounces. I have successfully paired them with an iPhone, iPad, iMac computer, and even an Apple Watch. I had no problem with any of them, and switching between them is simple and straightforward. There is an app that you can load on your phone to adjust the Environment Filter, which reduces outside noises. The options are Off, Office, City, and Flight, where each adds more noise filtering. Below that is a slider that enhances the amount of voices that get through, or are amplified. Choosing an Environment Filter adjusts this slider, but you can further adjust it as needed. There is another screen where you can adjust the Wear Sensor, so if you take off the headphones, they will pause your music. You can also turn this feature off. Overall, I am very happy with noise reducing headphones. You will notice that I have not mentioned the sound quality. They sound very nice to me, but I don’t claim to have any expertise in sound quality.

Nice Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bit disappointed with this headset. Sound quality is ok but for having a Bowers and Wilkins logo on the side seemed to fall a bit short. And for the price you are paying, thought they would have a better sound.

Superior
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the analogy that it’s like driving a tight, fine-tuned Formula One Ferrari or Mercedes engine. Whereas with Bose it is more like a really loose Honda engine. Sound is what I was describe as “tight”, “on point”, “sharp”, “coherent”, “precise.” Definitely a stronger, more powerful, and on point sound. The ANC is actually much smarter and superior. It will kill normal conversation completely (depending on the setting) but let in at a really minimal level louder environmental noises. It gives it a very minimal amount of atmosphere which leads to superior, more natural sound and avoids feeling like you’re locked in artificially in a sensory deprivation chamber. Vastly superior, smarter ANC than Bose. Another smart feature is the auto-pause when removing the headphones. It works and I have yet to have a problem with it. I am constantly taking on and off the headphones and it’s a nice option to avoid having to push a button to pause it every time. The build quality is incredible. It feels like you’re sitting in a high end Maserati or Ferrari with leather seats and high quality material. Just so vastly superior to the Bose QC35II that uses really lweak cheap plastic with synthetic leather ear pads that are terrible. The comfort is also vastly superior to the Bose. I wear them all day morning to night and there’s no pain at all. The firmer leather pads add to the comfort aspect dramatically and they feel much more secure. Again, I liken it to riding in a high-end Ferrari with top of the line leather seats and and dashboard material. The comfort level is so vastly superior to the Bose, which is like riding in an older used car with cheap vinyl seats and cheap plastic material on the dashboard, etc. Another great thing is the buttons are metal so they’re much more pleasant to use. Not being plastic you don’t have the feeling they’re weak and shaky and you really get a more on point experience. And it might seem minor, but importantly the middle button bumps upward making it easier to find and easier to push, making it much nicer than a depressed button like Bose, which is already shaky to begin with. The fact that the middle button is convex really is a valuable design aspect. The charging is also so much better. It’s usb-c and charges up so much faster. The battery itself lasts so much longer also. And another very important thing is that I can use it while I’m charging it. That’s another big, big feature for me and lends it much more additional value. The cable it comes with is also fairly long and so you’re not shortchanged there either. I only have two small problems with it. First, the double-press skip often pauses it and I have to get it just right to skip. There are many times where you double press in such a way that it should absolutely skip, but instead it pauses. So I have to really focus in to make sure I double-press the right way. Secondly, I think the on/off switch is a weaker aspect of it. It slides and then comes back to the same spot and so it’s often hard to tell when it’s on or off. I’ve struggled with turning it off then back on to see if it’s off. Because the lights will also go out when it goes to sleep I believe. So I’m still learning about the on/off switch but I’d prefer a straighforward two-position on/off where left is off, right is on, or something like that. It also seems to cause confusions when connecting to Bluetooth as sometimes you are actually turning it off when you are trying to connect, and just an overall confusion what the status of it is. But again, that’s something I’m still learning about. But overall, despite those two minor problems, it is a vastly superior experience. The sound is much, much better than Bose and gets better the more you use it. I can imagine that two years from now, due to the superior build quality that it will sound even better and be even more comfortable. Add the other smart features mentioned previously and it makes it a much, much better product than the Bose QC35II.

A Great Product Marred by Spotty Bluetooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones are important to me since I travel a lot . Consequently, it is important that I get a headphone that gives me great sound (sorry Beats by Apple - you lose out here), comfort, ease of use, and great noise cancelling performance.- I bought the PX because of my great experiences with Bowers & Wilkins in the past. Lets get the good out. First, the sound offered by the headphones is great. It can be best described as balanced. If you are looking for a driving bass, then pass these by. However, I have used these headphones to listen to Queen, Mozart, Doc Watson, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and found it to give a great sound. Second, the noise cancellation is very good not as good as Bose or Sony but still very good. Using the smartphone app, you can select how much filtering you. I admit that I do miss the ease of use offered by the Sony (like being able to temporary turn off noise cancellation by putting your right hand over the right ear cup). However, on a very noisy flight from Detroit to LAX, the PX drown out a flight full of crying babies and yapping dogs. The construction of the headphones is top-notch - strong, high quality, and durable. The design is also great. In a world where the Bose and Sony headphones and their cases look very similar, the PX really stands out. One small quibble here - Sony and Bose give you great hard sided carrying cases; the PX comes in a quilted pouch. for the price, I was hoping for something more. Headphone comfort is also top-notch. I have a pair of the new Sony M3 and I find that they are "hot" to wear for a prolonged period of time. This is not the case with the PX - comfortable, good ear seal, and no heat build-up. There is a smart app available for the Bowers & Wilkins, It is good - it covers the basics and it does allow you to update the firmware easily. However, it is not up to the standards set of Sony. For example, with the Sony, I can optimize the sound for the specific conditions that I find myself in. If there is one Achilles heel, it is the bluetooth connectivity. Simply put with the current version, it is unreliable. On a 14 hour flight from LAX to Sydney, I kept losing connectivity. I hope that this issue will be addressed in a future firmware update. Do I regret buying the PX? Not really. Once the connectivity issue is addressed, this will be a worthy competitor to the Sony and Bose systems.

Beats Bose and Sony in every category
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to compare these to the currently shipping models from Bose and Sony. I've found that these beat out Bose and Sony in every category, including but not limited to, noise canceling, sound quality, comfort and fit, etc. On top of that, these have their own unique set of features just like the Bose (Google Assistant built in) and the Sony (muting of the audio when cupping the right ear cup) do. What these do is basically turn themselves on/off based on whether you've put them on or taken them off. There must be some accelerometers built into the headphones to allow for this feature. In everyday practice, I've found that this feature works reliably. In summary, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these headphones, but the Bowers and Wilkins wins the prize in my opinion.

Great design, average sound, glitchy connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this headphones look good, they are heavy compared to Bose or Sony; the sound lacks in depth, detail and punch. The operation is too smart for its own good. Every single movement pauses the music and no tweaking the app will fix it. Great design and concept, poor execution.

Beautiful design & build...very uncomfortable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research on these...I was warned but the tight fit. It was unbearable. In addition with ANC off there was a hiss...unacceptable at this price. I ended up with the B&O H9i on sale for about the same price...great headphones: comfortable, light, great sound stage
