a great life story---has a very good story to tell

Great story although sad to know that to this day, there are stl transformation schools to "cure" homosexuals. It's outrages, but i still enjoyed this movie, it's ry good and it gives an idea of what type of life some homosexuals have to live. It's a sad true to acknowledge that parents sometimes protect more the religion they follow rather their children. Highly recommend this movie, it is about a gay boy who is forced to go to a school to be "cured".

Eh this one was good from a story line just sort of boring along the way at times - still recommended for sit on the couch and hang kind of night!

excellent film on the practice of conversion therapy in America. TOP CAST of stars telling the real story of an 18 yr old in religious family. Cites the #of minors harmed in 35 states lacking laws to protect them. Great movie!

Religious family who they find out their son is gay and force him to conversion therapy. Sad but true story to watch! I thoroughly enjoyed the movie despite being sad story line!

Enjoyed this movie and the actors done a great job

Boy Erased is amazing, especially since it's based on the true story of Garrard Conley, who wrote a memoir of the same name. Lucas Hodges stars as Jared Eamons, a teenager who comes out to his parents in Arkansas. Jared's father Marshall Eamons (Russell Crowe), a preacher, sends his son to a conversion therapy program, which Jared struggles to get through. The actors, especially Hodges and Nicole Kidman, did really well in their roles. There are a lot of tough moments in the movie such as homophobia and sexual assault, but these moments sadly reflect reality in many people's lives. These elements' presence in the film serves to raise awareness to prevent and stop them. Watch this film in Blu-ray and experience it for yourself.
