Nice addition to my collection. Very good message.

Like the idea but after 49 minutes I got it and waited for the end to be told what was pretty obvious. I subscribe to the thought process but it is not a movie plot

While the film is ok what makes this film special is the concept of filming it over time. Worth the watch just for the growth of the characters.

It's amazing how they made this movie and how they deal w/ real life transformations and happenings. It isn't great, but it's worth watching.

The concept of filming people over 12 years is obviously very unique, that being said the movie was alright, nothing more, nothing less.

I liked this movie, but it doesn't have much action in it. A little slow in spots. But, over all and good story.

The concept of following a family for many years on film is intriguing. Too bad the content was relatively boring.. The father character was interesting with many wise comments and insights. The mother character was very flat and not well developed and not particularly insightful

Good movie, it moved a little slow, but I enjoyed it.

Was bought for someone else as a birthday present.

It wasn't my type of movie, if your going to film a boy for 15 years why choose the worst possible scenarios for him? Could have been better written.

With such an original idea for a movie, I can't believe how unworthy of praise this movie is. Best picture nomination? Best supporting actress win? I don't understand what the critics saw in this movie. The characters were drab, the story was unfulfilling, and the "message" that the director "tried" to deliver at the end fell short. This is 2 hours and 40 minutes of my life I will never get back.

I enjoyed the idea of shooting the movie over such a long period of time. But it was kind of boring.

Didn't really like this movie. It was hard to keep my interest.

The idea was cool--using the same actors in a 12 year filming time frame. The outcome was a long film about nothing. The kids were crummy actors (or maybe it was their script). The adults were okay. I appreciate the art (12 year film) but hated the product.
