There is a black circular piece on the back of the mount which you can twist in order to tighten or loosen the ball joint. Once you get the mount at your desired angle, just tighten that circular piece and the phone will stay in place! The clamp needs to be stronger So that won’t happen. I just wish it was a little more sturdy but other than that it works fine and I’d recommend it.

I would highly recommend placing the vent clips into the bottom-most vent bar, that way the mount is best supported at its base and will not fall out. The clamp holds the phone well, but the mount does not stay secured onto the vents using the provided clamp. The phone holder eventually starts slipping off the vent and breaks loose.
