Make sure you twist the ridged circular piece on the base of the mount in order to widen and fit snug into your cup holder. This should prevent any rattling from occurring. If it was the base of the mount which goes into the cup holder, try twisting the dial on the bottom of the mount in order to expand the base until it fits snug into your cup holder.
