Called company and they admitted it won't stick on many dashes not essentially smooth. On the windshield it is fine, just a bit farther to reach.

The dash on my old Ford is hardly dimpled, but it will not stick after a while. I ended up attaching a piece of plastic to my dash with two-sided tape to resolve the problem.

It holds the phone well in portrait or landscape. The only thing I didn't like were the feet.
