Have a MagSafe iPhone with a MagSafe capable case and they can both individually stick it off fairly easily the phone from the device and the device itself.

Great when it worked

Being able to mount my phone to the windshield with magsafe would have made it my favorite. However,After 2 months of using this in my car, I had the latching mechanism stop working. This renders the entire thing to sag and stop holding my phone properly.
