It doesn't have a built in charger but I was not seeking that option when purchasing. I'll have to wait longer to form a judgment on durability to see if it holds up to repeated daily use. My main concern remains how well the sticky bonding agent holds over time.

Have you attempted to clean the suction cup with warm, soapy water and let it air dry? By doing so, this will revive the tackiness of the suction cup and it will re-stick to your dash or windshield.
