That clip does not stay pushed in properly and vibrates loose and you end up with a phone that is not in the proper position as compared to where you Set it

It is difficult to manipulate the lock slide to grip the phone but once you do it holds the phone tightly and keeps it in place. It's fit and finish is good.

If you hit a bump, the phone would slide through the rollers on the sides. It would be better if it had a base at the bottom to hold.

I recommend placing the mount on the bottom-most vent bar in order to maximize stability. Also, make sure you are adjusting the button on the mount which widens / narrow the clamps, so that your phone is as snug as possible. I snapped a plastic piece on the vent because its kind of difficult to get this adjusted just right so it doesn’t block my radio controls, nor have a glare from the sun. It will do for now, but there are way better options. I miss my holder that also served as a charger I would plug in to my cigarette lighter port.
